It really has been quite good.

I was at first in favor of the neat "go free" short handed rule until it was pointed out that it kinda absolves bad behavior. Take a really bad 2 min penalty, score one and all is forgiven? Ya that's not gonna sit well with the other team.

Additionally I'm not at all a fan of the purple arm bands. Different just to be different? Dumb. Similarly, stop using all female panels and all female play-by-play/colour teams. Use good people who have good things to say.

The on ice has been watchable. That Ottawa Montreal game was intense. Allowing contact without actual targeted body checks is smart. Things get heated, intense and competitive which makes for a good on ice product.

Agreed on the arm bands, but for the panels, i think they are using competent people and maybe, the usual panels prefer sticking to men’s hockey who knows?

Yes the physicality has been the best change they’ve brought to the game, it has raised the intensity level without slowing the game down too much

I think it's really cool that the league is up and running AND that KH is covering it for HB.

Good job Special K!

I never said anything about cute princesses.

There are some sports when the extra strength and speed of men can detract from the entertainment value. Tennis is a great example. The best men in the world tend to hold serve and smash away. Women's tennis can be more cerebral, with more net play, and more uncertainty of the outcome. I would prefer to watch professional women than men. But there are many other sports where the extra strength and speed is not a detraction, but adds to the appeal. If I'm going to watch a 100 meter Olympic Final, I want to see the men. Sorry. If I want to watch a basketball game, I want to see Lebron dunk. If I want to see a baseball game, I want to see a guy pitch 100 miles per hour and a homerun out of the ballpark. And if I want to see a hockey game I want to see the fastest human beings, with the hardest shots. Sorry. And if I want to see tennis, I probably choose a women's game. I like women's beach volleyball too

So the AHL and CHL are crap leagues and not worth watching because they're not the strongest players in the world. Make total sense

Another fan so far here. I was watching a game at work the other day (Toronto vs New York) I believe and it was great. Hope they continue to grow the audience.

Thx Karine

As time passes & I see more PWHL the more familiar I’ll get with the brand. Women’s soccer has shown how intense & good women are in sport. WNBA no thx lol
