D, you think a straight up Pinto for Reichel is selling low? - Mr Ricochet
Maybe, maybe not and I don't really do much trade speculating. My point was more with the way Reichel has started the season and how that would be selling low on him.
Might be a good hockey trade but if Pinto's water level ends up being a 3C and Reichel can play wing on the top 2 lines, then....no. |

Always tempting to see if a trade can be broadened with our objective to move up in the ‘24 Entry Draft. Simply swap our 2nd for their first and maybe an exchange of one prospect going the other way for both teams. It is something to consider as it resolves moving a player(s) either team is unsatisfied with. The early 2nd is how many slots up from their first /or of gaining that pick we now have three first round selections. Should the lottery balls put us any choice after #3 overall, while we have assets this year GO FOR the top two forwards in this ‘24 draft
A means to an end is to establish two young forwards together or on separate top two lines.
Maybe Moore or Hayes will one day be a top six. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel which is a competitive playoff team. We may very well revamp and improve bottom lines primarily when prospects are ready but it is hardest to find available and draft top six forwards
Go for it. Ottawa represents a team more likely to exchange draft choices. They also would like to pay less salary? Do Pinto subtraction and Reichel add might be of interest
Of course there may be no trade the top two teams in the draft is willing to consider. Nonetheless we would then have three of the top quality picks in round one. Where odds is more likely to get difference makers
BTW check out the TOI and inexperience Montréal has been going with (and will continue) the entire season on their blue line. It is working out ok for them, so maybe we can expect the same approach could work for us. As early as next season - jhawk59
Ehhhh, i wouldn't mind Pinto on this team but i don't want to give up on Reichel either, maybe throw them a 2nd round draft pick and one of our d prospects we don't like. |

That’s 2 really good periods against the best team in the league. And 3 outstanding PKs. The compete level has been turned up. |

I’m thinking that due to his suspension for gambling, this organIzation does not bring Pinto in, as they don’t want anymore negative press. He would be a good 2nd line center, and maybe move to 3rd line once Hawks have more talent on the roster, but again, not likely they trade for Pinto. |

I like Reichels game tonight, i wish he wouldn't be afraid of carrying the puck more he's so quick to look for a pass.
Since coming back from injury i think Raddysh has been playing really nice defense.
I can see why LR likes heavy dmen, it seems the last few games they are frustrating the opposing forwards.
Katchouk plays a really good game but then he makes a slap pass from his own blue line across the front of his own goalie down low, that's a big (frank)ing no no. He really needs to stay on the right side of the puck as well. |

Other than a defensive gaffe, Blackwell is playing fantastic |

Agree Dots, they need to add more offensive talent, can’t trade Reichel at this time unless KD gets blown away. |

Jets broadcaster Kevin Sawyer said he saw KK a lot with Seattle, he said KK is an ok skater, but what sets him apart is his hockey IQ. Haven’t heard that take before. |

Valiant effort. Without watching the replays, looked like mistakes by 25 & 24 ended up costing them.
55 & 72 are gonna be awesome in a couple of years. |

Tough loss, but a lot of good for 56 minutes. Reichel and Kurashev with good efforts tonight, these two could be the only current forwards on the team in a couple of years. |

Who thought he was getting traded? - Chunk
That was an answer to why he is playing ahead of a younger defenseman, that maybe he is dressing to help his trade value |

At least Richardson still has his timeout |

We will never know. Could have tried to stop the momentum. Would like to see him do something. Goalie deserved better. |
