When we first started looking around, our realtor took us to San Poncho. Showed us a neighborhood with 3 or 4 Kelowna people living in it. That was enough not to look there.
It’s really grown into a very nice town, the hike from Sayulita through the jungle is a great trip. Ending with cervesas and nachos on the beach.
Sorry to hear you’re back to reality, I’ll make sure I visit your favourite beach bar for a marg at sunset. - K-man25
How is the value for a place there & elsewhere if buying? We’re thinking on looking around for snowboarding reasons 2-4mths in winter. Your area & Cabo are on the looky loo list. Nothing large maybe a condo. Renting out when not there difficult or any worries?

Thanks NYN
I keep hearing Petey wants to part of a winning team. No one is saying he wants to be a long term Canuck. It is not a reason to panic but it is not a reason to think he wants to be here either.
Until it is on paper nothing is definite. I think it will get done but again if his team is asking for the moon then maybe PA says no. Wait and see and don't let it be a distraction. - VANTEL
If he wants it both ways getting paid & contending that narrows the field fast as in slim to maybe none. I’m not concerned he’ll leave just see him sending his message it’s time to go for it. 8/12m |

It was a blown out of proportion long before the decision to just focus on playing the season out. Also, Rutherford said in an interview I posted in here a few days ago that they would like Petey to just focus on playing hockey and they will get a deal done in the summer. I don't see that as any indication they don't want him... They are both saying the same thing about waiting.
Same people talking/reporting this story about Petey wanting to play for a winner also hitched their wagon to him wanting to play for the Hawks. Sure, he wants to both play for a winner and gamble on another rebuild/retool just as this team is in good hands showing a very promising future... as he steamrolls to another 100+ season. Love the conflicting logic. - boonerbuck
Logic is beyond the media. Sensationalizing something from nothing more like it. National Enquirer wasn’t hiring so we get stuck with them. |

Remind me again, what did Benning get for those 2? They were 4 years younger at the time, I’m sure it was something substantial. - K-man25
He avoided a 10.5m anchor. 👍 |

I still disagree. If they continue to make signings like Suter Joshua Blueger Lafferty plus the fact by the time the 4.7 mil penalties kick in they will have DPetey Willander Likker Podz and Hog.
This will stop them from giving Petey 13 mil and Myers 5, Hronek 8. - VANTEL
The prospects elc’s coming then definitely were factored in. Cannot expect all to join at once & expect no ups & downs. It will be interesting to see how they are injected into the roster. |

I like that they aren't handing a lot of term to periphery players. They also seem to have a much better eye for value than Benning ever had. Makes the OEL buyout easier to digest. I also believe this Coaching staff helps as far as maximizing players potentials.
Gotta hand it to Rutherford. He came in with the culture change mantra and he followed through. I think waaay sooner than most expected. - Load Management
Idk about expected when most were apprehensive or guarded or outright cynics. Open minded fans let the process begin & give it a chance. |

I think those were shrewd moves and, like you said above, will need to continue to make similar moves. Hopefully Allvin keeps on rolling. I'm not as hyped on the prospect pool as others. We will see. - bloatedmosquito
Not a deep prospect pool & lacks eliteness. Still a few real good 2nd tier depth talent. Mobility & character would be my best hope. |

I look at when Dakota was being benched and Blueger was injured and they still had the puck possession in the other end most of the time. Now all three are playing like a second line unit and producing. Regardless of what others think (no offence) I think Garland is the main piece. I had seen him do the same in Arizona. - VANTEL
Play drivers make a line tick with linemates making the chemistry real. Petey needs Miller & Boeser as in other lines find their way to gel. |

We definitely need to have more prospects that are capable of contributing in the lineup and/or more value signings/trades like Lafferty/DeSmith/Suter and Joshua |

That's what convinced me this management group was serious and Aquilini had no voice in the decision, that's the start of the change for me. - A_SteamingLombardi

Tocchet is someone the players, even the biggest d!ck in the room (Miller), had to instantly respect. Boudreau was liked, but he wasn’t respected. Big difference. - Pacificgem
Bruce was fun while it lasted but couldn’t get the most out of the players long haul. Idgaf about the fans liking him it’s a business & all about winning. |

Allvin for GM of the year and Tocchet for coach of the year, they can join Mike Gillis and Alain Vigneault as the most successful GM and coach in Canucks history. - Pacificgem

Since we are talking about people knowing their place... Bruce just told a story how the organization last season was pressuring him to convert our Norris front runner into a centre. Clearly that was someone in management.
“I gotta say this for the first time on TV. I’m not gonna say who, but somebody in that Vancouver organization tried to make me make Quinn Hughes a centre last year. I refused to do it, and I said, ‘I’m not making him a centre, I’m not making him a centre, and they kept trying to get me to put Quinn at centre and I am so happy I didn’t. First of all, he would probably not take it too well. Secondly, the year he’s having, a Norris Trophy kind of year, it’s quite a difference from him playing centre on that team.
“I’ve wanted to say that one thing for a year and a half — or for almost a year now because I think it was about this time that I was let go last year. But I mean, I would sit there and shake my head, and I’m going Quinn Hughes is not playing centre for this team, he’s a defenceman.”

Probably resigning a few of those. Decent raises but 1-2yrs at most hopefully. Last draft was a pretty good one by the looks of it & hoping next one adds some more shrewd picks. Bleuger also & give Raty another AHL season. |

But that isnt outrageous. He's a forward and still in a development league. QH has developed into a elite defenceman and someone above BB's head was meddling and potentially could have completely (frank)ed this up.

Prospect pool could use more mid 6 C’s. Idk how Sasson is doing. Raty is slowly getting better but not sold on him yet. I want a dawg after a bone as a 3C. 2C we’ve nothing & drafting one will be very difficult. Anybody have a sleeper pick? |
