Not related but, I went to the Laval Rocket yesterday afternoon, I really like Xhekaj and Mailloux together. Maybe an Hutson-Reinbacher pair with the Rocket next season? - stinger67
well, judging by waterboy's reaction that pairing could only mean a weak defense, unless I'm mistaken and Hutson is actually the stay-at-home dman lol. |

well, you don't have to drink coffee if you don't feel like it lol...
unless it's a situation like in the movie Speed, but instead of driving a bus you have to continuously drink coffee or a bomb will explode in your coop.

damn, that's a lot of laffies, I'm glad you're entertained as much lol.
I guess it's funny because you're saying he's the complete opposite?
looking at his stats it wasn't obvious to me that he's an offensive first kind of dman, and I figured since he's currently paired with Beaulieu it's probably because he's more responsible about his defensive coverage. - Pat1993
he might be more responsible than Beaulieu, but that does not make him a stay at home defenseman, otherwise he would never have went number 5 overall.
He is more a two way defenseman and has been compared to Roman josi
David Savard is a stay at home, who mainly block shots and play on the pk, Markov was more of a two way defenseman running the pp
I really miss Markov by the way, the guy was amazing. The guy found ways to end up in front of the net during the pp and bury it
by the way, le rein backer plays in a pro league not a junior league, so you have to consider that if you want to look at his stats |

if you can get keanu reeves to play in it, people will go to see it as soon as its out
but he may not like the script... |

ok so I guess by definition the term "stay-at-home" refers to a dman who doesn't really produce anything offensively..?
anyway I've barely seen Reinbacher play, so I have no clue what kind of player he is lol.
and yeah I wasn't saying his stats aren't good either, from what I heard he's doing well so far.
agreed on Markov, the General was one of the main reasons MTL had such a good powerplay back in the day. |

I dont know much about him, but yeah, a stay at home does not produce much cause he stays back, which is why he is a stay at home. I know what you mean when you compare Markov and Subban, but I would never say Markov was a stay at home D. He was just a more complete D and I would say smarter player than Subban and I say that while I really liked Subban with the Habs |

I see.
the way I was interpreting it, "stay-at-home" was part of the role but not necessarily the only one a defenseman can have, so it didn't automatically mean a lower offensive output. |
