Meier has years of great play. I don't think a 50 game sample is what he definitely will be going forward.

Lower body in November and "medium-body" the past couple weeks it looks like. Could be a rib or hernia or something?

Would expect an uptick in play if he was fully healthy. He hasnt looked promising in NJ since showing up there though.

Who knows, hockey just be like that, but a hernia could certainly throw you off for a long time.

That latter part is more what I saw. Ever since he got cleaned by Trouba, he's been playing scared IMO. I saw some article looking at his shot placement around the o-zone and he's become much more of a peripheral shooter than he was in SJ. Maybe that's all it is, but time will tell as broads said.

We all know who UPL is at this point though. He does this, then he plays worse than a beer league goalie for 3 months. Hopefully he can figure it out. He's still very young for an NHL goalie.

I think it's his relative youth and inexperience that gives me hope that, one day, more consistency will come.

He's going to be quickly overtaken by Levi in the end, so doesn't matter toooo toooo much...still. Wouldn't be a bad thing to have a starting goalie battle on our hands.

Guys had 1 bad stretch this year and it was after he got sick and lost like 10 pounds ina week


He could fix some movements. The sporadic 10 feet out of his crease to be specific.

But he's going to be a starter somewhere if not here IMO.
