Does he need to play with top line talent to play like he did last night? Do you think he would have done as well if he was on the second line?
Not being an ass to you like I normally am, seriously asking. - WhiskeyMan
Answer: go back and watch the last game against Calgary and the game in Winnipeg again. He wasn't on the top line in either. Still played really well. He is capable. Needs to be assertive and confident. Never a question of ability. |

After hearing Hartnell talk on Spittin Chiclets it seems like there were a lot more people who knew that quitter G wasn't going to play for philly. If hartsy knew just imagine how mamy other people knew as well.
The fact that that info never got leaked is even more impressive

I would take that with a grain of salt. If that many people knew and it didn't leak. Something doesn't add up.

No. Trade Walker. Seeler is too important to this team this year. He won’t command that much in a trade and wouldn’t cost much to re-sign. With drysdale in the fold Walker is redundant. |

I think both the Flyers and the other teams understood that if it got out it would have a bad effect on a 19 year old kid in terms of just being able to live a life in this insane social media/death threats world.

I got the impression from watching the whole thing that very few did know in the grand scheme. He also touches on later about how the Flyers used to be pretty leaky as an organization and now they are water tight so to speak.

If we called 18 teams saying he’s available, people knew. Maybe they just didn’t tell Elliote Friedman. How many prospects you hear of are available? I’m sure Toronto has made some calls offering Minton and Cowen, you don’t see that in the news. |

didnt see it but I to think not many at all knew. In today's world it would have got out.
They were note leaky when ronald was here I do not think. When the flyers were good everyone assumed and always had the flyers involved in rumors. factual or not.
I also do not believe they talked to 18-20 teams. Reasons being see above |

Same story, many teams were called, it was out there. Doesn’t exactly hurt his value, great back to back years at BC and the world junior tourney. Flyers were under no gun to move him. |

I think what wasn't leaked was the fact he stopped conversation all together. but I'm not a gm or in those circles. so guessing.

I just don’t think you hear about prospects as much as you would an actual NHL player |

He also said Guathier gave the Flyers a list of acceptable destinations. Some of those teams were not interested in the kid especially due to why his was being offered. |

What doesn't really make sense is... why would those 8-18 teams hold water for the Flyers, especially when it's in direct conflict with their interests? If somebody leaked the story Cutter's value would have taken a hit... unless they believed more teams would have jumped into the fray if they knew he was available? |

GMs were likely sympathetic towards Briere. No NHL owner or GM wants to see this happen to anyone because they don’t want to see it happen to them |
