Just saw that Detroit has now gone 7-2-1 in last 10 games. Technically still behind Toronto. Team is so hot and cold. Dom's model still has them at 88 points.

The dynamic here is hilarious between Flames and Oilers fans. Flames fans jump all over EDM for squandering 1st overall picks when the Flames draft record is quite poor if not worse in some ways over the past 15 years or so. EDM fans go on a 2 game heater and it's cup time lol. Fun stuff. As for the Flames I believe their PO record since 2004 is actually no better than the Canucks

The Oilers had one bad first overall pick, Yak, and it was a really bad draft year. They've just had bad managers who've been unable to capitalize on good draft position, kinda like Jim Benning.
