I would look at something like Monahan and Anderson (retain 2 mil per) and our third round pick back to us, for Kuzmenko Podkolzin and Hunter B.

If you are giving up the first round pick it should be for a top six player not a bottom six guy. I obviously don't value Pinto as a top six.

I really don't see too many holes these days so I would add some bottom six toughness. Replace Aman.

I don't think you can keep Kuzmenko's contract going into the next year find a replacement.

Correction:
Assuming the late 1st will be a top 6 prospect not a player. Likely not a C either. Pinto was 32nd overall & had 20 goals last season & is further along in development. Any 1st pick isn’t going to crack the line up anytime soon. Raty isn’t looking close to a 2C & questionable as a 3C.

Any top 6 player in a trade won’t be cheap. Moving Kuz & his cap isn’t easy & definitely isn’t getting back a top 6.

I too don’t see any glaring holes but if the Lotto is too stay together the 2C is weak. Monahan is an option but not giving up a 1st for him with injury history he has. We have no 2nd & the Habs won’t take a late 2nd if we had one or a 2nd in later years. The options get slim to none then. As for bottom 6 grit Perry for free is worth looking at.

Doing nothing if nothing is appealing is fine by me but then it’s not taking advantage of the roll the team is on.

I would enquire to the cost of getting Novak.

Ok but don’t see the Habs retaining that much for that long. Could be wrong but doubt it & he’s not durable. I’ve always liked him but he tailed off since being a Hab. Could be a very good middle 6 winger but blocks any prospect that could earn that spot. His contract term is problematic.
