there's absolutely no certainty that Askarov will be better than Monty, or Primeau for that matter. meanwhile they desperatly need offense. no brainer imo.

meh, I'm pretty sure Askrarov is slotted to become a very good goaltender, the expectations are much higher in his case than for the habs' current goalies. it isn't a "no brainer" at all as far as I'm concerned.

Hughes already said they want a team based on offense. trading for a goalie so we can have a deja vu of the Price era... tks but no tks. if they trade a few dmen and picks... it better be for offense.
and Monty is perfectly fine, good enough to win the cup if he has a good team in front of him. like Hill in Vegas or Kumper in COL.

yep. but they need an upgrade upfront wayyyyyy more than in goal. so if they want to trade picks and d prospects.... not like they have an unlimited of them to trade... go for a forward.
