What I am is a smart guy. It's not a situation of awareness as you seem to think it is. I'm quite sure that with advance scouting, coaches are talking to their players pre-game about a team. How they're playing. What to expect. What it is is a human condition. A game against a non rival, non conference. Top NHL teams routinely take up and coming teams lightly. You see down the stretch when a playoff team faces a non playoff team and gets beat. Doesn't bring intensity into the game. Whatever games are on NHL network as the spotlight games, isn't going to change any of that. I hope Tortorella does win the Jack Adams. I doubt that he will though.

My sons favorite team is the Stars, and I have watched a lot of their games this year. The game against the Flyers was not their usual level of play, and missing Miro is huge for them. The Flyers play or a down game? I think a bit of both.

The flyers getting chances but can’t hit the net or taking themselves out of the play resulting in poor shots.

The Flyers played an outstanding game. Give them credit but the Stars didn't show up. The Flyers played well in the first period today. A lucky double deflection goal and a great skill play and they're down 2-0. Hart with no chance on either goal.

I felt on the two on one shorthanded with Cates and Atkinson that went wrong. Atkinson goes behind the net, goalie is off his right post and Cates has his stick there, I’m thinking slam dunk but Atkinson passes to the point to our defender.

No kicking motion. You're allowed to direct a puck to the net with your skate.

Not for a player like Norris with his injury history. Otherwise without it, it's another trade that is to good to be true. What could go wrong. Ask yourself why would Ottawa make that deal?

Looked like he moved his foot forward to contact the puck. Wasn’t a redirection by turning the skate on the ice. I’ll watch it again
