This loss is on all of them. Except Josh. Go get Belichick and show us you’re serious because I am just about done with all of this Buffalo sports nonsense. |

I actually liked McDermott once he became aggressive going for it in 4th down with Allen.
The fake punt was stupid to Hamlin though
I think overall this team was flawed. I kept saying it all year. It was a roller coaster of ups and downs with no true middle ground.
Get the offensive 1 legit Rookie WR and roll with Diggs, rookie, shakir and Kinkaid.
This years draft has 3 amazing WRs in this years draft and some other really good ones.
If there was a time to trade up for one. This year would be the year |

McStupid can't beat the Chiefs when it counts, like I said last week and got bashed for it. - SABRES 89
Many dropped passes that stunted drives.
Sherfield and Diggs have a major hand in this loss...especially Diggs with a 62 yard perfectly thrown pass that hit both of his hands...gotta have that catch.
Would have liked to see more throws when the team was in 2nd and short situations...roll Josh to the right, he's deadly on b run.
Oh well draft WR, S and LB.
Go Bills!

you can't possibly think that all the bills need. we have TWO safeties that are old and slow, hardly anyone signed on the d-line... they need 2 WR's and a frank-in kicker they need a complete overhaul on the coaching stuff.

I would expect players just stop showing up if that happens...Murray had Klesla quit when he got traded to Buffalo...Botts had Berglund straight up quit and walk away from $12mm...Adams will get half a roster to just not want to play hockey anymore.
It will be the biggest stain on the underpants of the league, and he still won't get fired.

Both those Safeties are gone, and wouldn’t be surprised if White gets released and they extend Douglas |

Diggs gotta make that catch, just horrible. Guy hasn't been in the game for 7 weeks. And that 2nd down play where Josh tried to hit Shakir( wish they scored) but it's the one play I would have liked to see Josh hit Diggs on that quick out for the 1st, it was there. Bills could have gotten 2 more 1st at that point. Think they were at the 16 and the 1st was the 12 yrd line. Atleast 1 more first and then let Josh roll out and do his magic. Horrible Coaching the 2nd Half, they tried to slow the game down to much. As beat up as the Defense was, should have unleashed Josh. Not pulled him back in. |

I believe it has been over for a couple weeks now, but...
When does everyone throw in the towel realizing the Sabres season is over with a big F grade earned by the FO and Coaching Staff? |

“It’s part of certain guys’ fiber actually,” Granato said when asked whether getting to the net is a mentality that needs to be instilled in the team. “Obviously, there are guys, everybody knows when they watch, certain guys go to the net with more consistency than others. It’s part of their character, it’s part of their player bio, and then on a nightly basis, there’s massive fluctuation throughout the league. But when teams are going to the net, and the timing … the perimeter’s fine, the perimeter’s good. Goals are scored coming from the perimeter, it’s the timing of getting to the net, getting off the perimeter at the right time. It’s not as easy as going and standing in front of the net and never moving. The puck has to get to the net. It’s never going to get to the net if you don’t have support around the perimeter to get it in there, and then the timing. For us, for teams around the league, you’re watching it, it’s an indicator if they’re on their game. The more you do it, the more competitive you are and on your game and rhythm.”
The Sabres’ shot map for the season is one of a team that lacks that character trait Granato mentioned.
vs last year:
The Sabres may have a lot of offensive skill, but too many players on the team lack the specific skill of getting positioning and hunting for pucks near the net. It’s a skill the best teams have. And that may be the most glaring aspect of the Sabres’ regression. Whether that means the Sabres need more players with that trait or need to coach it into their current players is a question for which general manager Kevyn Adams needs an answer. Because though this season has slipped away, this roster has a lot of talent and even more of it in the prospect pool. But the next steps are going to be crucial to keeping this rebuild heading in the right direction.

Yeah, they needed a coaching change a month ago to help out. Getting Quinn back seemed to steady the ship a bit, particularly on the PK, but we have so many glaring issues with our actual style of play. From the PP drop pass to zone entries, to playing against a 1-3-1, we just look inept at strategy.
Edit: Against Tampa, we had the horses to beat them. We outshot them I believe. But Tampa actually knows how to score goals...that was the difference. They capitalize as we spin tires. |
