He let them fly last year. There really wasnt a coach... he just didnt get in the way like Stank did.
Thanks for bringing up the 1-3-1 as well. The guy has shown he doesn't have an ounce of ability to be able to adjust to ANYTHING.
I gave him the excuse of being a rookie head coach and he can still learn blah blah blah... But by now if he cant figure it out he wont. Hes an assistant at best. - DirtyDan
I think Donnie needs to be replaced at this point. But who was he supposed to learn from. Ellis, Christie, Bales the only meaningful guy he hired is Wilford and that's been a failure. Starts at the GM cause he brought back Losers.

I agree he had no help, but thats on him for not fighting for some additions.
The GM is a puppet. It starts at the owner since hes the only guy above the GM in this organization.
Get out of the way and hire a real POHO or sell the fvckinng team.

Well that sucks. We don't need them hiring someone that can actually stop Allen. - buffalofan19
Part of me is laughing my ass off, and part of me is bummed that they might actually hire someone good. But mostly laughing my ass off because they made him the highest paid DC |

The only place on the internet who doesnât think Fangio isnât a top 5 defensive mind of the last few decades is Hockeybuzz.
Good for him for going where he wanted to be all along in Philly close to his family. |

LOL defense was not the reason they blew it AGAIN and the end of the year... Guess the coach needed a head to chop off to save his own ass.. |

I never thought he was a terrible defensive coordinator. I just never understood the mystique around him other than the fact that he put in his time. His track record against mediocre opponents is pretty good but he's never been one to put the clamps on any of the big names in the league.

Luckily for championship caliber teams, their coaches don't spend much time on the internet.

If there's one thing McDermott doesn't deserve blame for, it's the defensive playcalling. You could argue he could have schemed up some better pressure from the defensive line on Sunday, but given what they were missing on defense, the only way they were going to win that game was Allen outperforming Mahomes and it didn't happen. |

They forced 5 3rd downs the entire game. That deserves criticism.

I assumed they'd fire Donny by now.
I'm still of the mind that the team isn't this bad. Forward group has juice. I don't care that I'll get yelled at for holding this opinion, it's the truth. Need better defenders. Need a 4th line. But there's fixings here for a good plate. - QuinnFan
if they get 1 or no points on this trip and donnie has a job next week, it's probably time to throw the towel in on this season |

It's why Donny should've been gone, or at least we should've tried to bring in some new assistants immediately. How this has stayed static is beyond me. The fanbase is folding. - QuinnFan
sean answers to terry and terry not beane holds sean's strings

how many sacks in the playoffs?
kelce wide open on a few plays
kc got 6.1 yards per run
mahomes had over 130 passer rating
and this all happened in WNY not on the road |

I didn't expect much more given who they lost. The only way they were going to win was a shootout, and they didnât. Putting up a goose egg in the 4th quarter is why they lost.

Dude, you should be a political consultant. Your spin is truly top notch. The Dolphins brought him in to be said "genius" and he shÂĄt the bed, hard. Finishing in the bottom quartile. |

I was thinking I've never seen a more listless performance by any Sabres team last night but I don't think I've seen any NHL team play that uninspired. I'm going tonight and I'm usually a little nervous. Now I'm just bummed.
