What this Gauthier move tells me is that:

A: Gauthier's game didn't fit Roy's game.
B: Opens roster spot for an injured player to return.
C: Maybe Roy liked a player in Bridgeport.

Move will give #Isles just under $5 million in cap space.

Expecting him to be claimed.

Personally I wouldn't doubt if this move was more about just sending Gauthier down to potentially call up a more impactful player like Ishakov. I wouldn't think that it's a forgone conclusion that Gauthier will be claimed.

I wish he was better at hockey. He should have been a distance speed skater with his stride and length to be honest. The rest of his game sucks.

Only 11 rostered forwards. Could be an interesting 24 hours.

Don't think Mayfield is going to be in the press box unless he's hurt, unfortunately. Depends if Pelech/Pulock both play tonight or not, but if it's both I'd assume the bottom pair is either Reilly or Bolduc and Mayfield.

Good period overall. Gotta say Mayfield was positionally sound and made several nice plays. Barzy looks he's going to have a post All Star bounce. Sorokin sharp. The team played energized but smart.
