With a four goal lead, boring is good. |

They did what a good team should do. They beat a team on their back to back against their backup goalie. If they cannot do that they should not speak of the eight letter word.

That is a full 60 minute game. Probably the best complete game they have played all season. It is a good time to go on a winning bender. |

Hope so. Everyone is healthy, new coach, if there were ever a time this would be it. Great game yesterday. Tampa on the second half of a back to back with their backup in net but I feel like this game a couple of months ago could be a letdown. It certainly wasn’t. |

Well Roy has had time to implement his system cause they lost to the avs and knights who were on back to backs and just beat Dallas on one. That said they look much better and 3 and 6 make the d so much better and aho in the box for rielly makes me happy too |

Yep. First time they’ve been fully healthy since when? November? Add on having a new coach bcs under lambert they weren’t any good even when healthy. Looks like the team stopped responding to that guy last year into the beginning of this season. Keep playing the way they did the last two games and manage to stay reasonably healthy down the stretch they can climb back in.

I think they are going to make it in the way they are playing but the entire conference is tight. All those blown games are huge, I'll say this no one wants this team if they are playing like this in the post season assuming they get in |

There’s so many variables that can happen down the stretch that can have different effects on the outcome. Other teams performance being one of them. Out of their division but Tampa is now going to have a real tough time keeping up without sergachev. The devils and pens can’t fully get their crap together. I don’t look at the Flyers as any real threat. If they can maintain a decent level of play and stay somewhat healthy(biggest thing) it’s not a monumental leap for them. I don’t think this division has been weaker in the last four years. |

Question is does Lou add to this group if they start putting up pts. I gotta think he does. Not sure what value Wahlstrom has, but I gotta think Holmstrom is a strong trade piece being that he’s had success as a PK guy

Seems as if he will add if they show him that he should. The word out there is that he's looking for a forward, I just don't know where that hypothetical player would fit. Certainly possible that one of the 'Strom's is the odd man out. He could also potentially acquire someone that pushes all the LW's down a line, putting Martin in the press box. Or he trades Pageau, moves Cizikas to 3C, and calls MacLean back up for the 4C spot
Completely-way-too-far-ahead side note: I am actually pretty excited at the prospect of a MacLean-Cizikas-Fasching 4th line next season. I liked what I saw from MacLean a lot. |

If they move Holmstrom, they could move Engvall to third line LW, where he belongs. I'd like to add a true top 6 LW to the mix. And maybe depth at RD. Frankly if they stay healthy and play like they have the past couple games, not sure any changes are really needed to the roster. |

Agreed on MacLean, he's got the genes. Not sure how its gonna work with pops on the bench but i guess its working now. |

I'd prefer Wahlstrom being the one leaving, but you'd have to throw in a first if you're looking to land a player in return

I would hate to move Holmstrom if it is not a clear upgrade for a signed player. Islanders are in a tough spot in terms of trades. |
