that's why rebuild take a long time, most guys start performing at a high standard consistently when they get to 23-24yrs old

Even when you look at 1st overall picks, they often struggle early on if they are not mcjesus, Crosby or Bedard.

Most players on this planet are not Crosby, Mcjesus or Bedard

Most have the talent but are just not physically mature enough. Some are just exceptional players

and others play at a young age but mostly because their team suck and don't care if the players are learning on the job at the NHL level

36pts in 24 games so far, playing much better this year. He was really solid at the WJC a few weeks ago

Harris and Baron will never be « it ».
Keep Ghule and find a top line D to pair with Matheson cuz he can’t defend for poop.

Kaovacevic, Harris, baron strudel… bottom pair/7 h d on a good team.

- WaterBoy

disagree for Baron he has the off habilities and the sizes, need to learn how to defend

The good part is thats the part you can actually learn !

+ 1 or 2 for Monahan. they will draft top10 again this year. trade a few picks for a forward or to move up. should be fun!

Well, I guess it depends what you want / need in your line-up.

Harris seems more reliable in all aspects of the ice, Baron is much more gifted offensively (which is needed) but has at least 3-5 big brain cramps each game.

Guess we will have to wait and see what is needed more in a year or two and how they (and the rest of the group) both progress.

Also, I think you can get more for Baron in/part of a trade, at this point.

I see them moving up to get a few more 2nd round picks, tbh.

Not sure they trade picks for another forward, after Dach and Newhook.... but we will see.

Gonna be a fun summer, I think.

Well, at least 2 weeks of summer.

My problem with Harris is I dont believe he has a any dominant quality to ever be a top 4, he "ok" everywhere, gonna take more htan that to win

agree but I have no idea about his options or his ways of thinking

Teams might be worried about him going down once again with an injury so a first round pick could be a reach

maybe a conditional first round pick?

If he wont sign back here, there is no point keeping him here either

- deadpoulet

that it, it all depends of the conversation I'm sure they will have with him right now

does he absolutely want to go ?

cause like getting the first pick of the Avs as an example is meh... pick could be like 25 to -32
