I like St-Louis, great communicator. But I think him, Burrows and Robidas are too similar. Think they need a more experienced, more structured associate coach

Here's my take from ice level, I actually learned a few things that we're not as obvious on TV.

1: Gallagher remains one of the hardest working guys on the team. It's insane how much he battles every shift. Unfortunately, he's slow and uneffective in most of his efforts. I'm sorry to say this to those it wasn't already obvious: The man is done following the pace of the NHL.

2: Slaf had a few very good chances but that release needs to come quicker. At least twice in the game he made all the right plays and moves but ended up keeping the puck too long instead of a quick shot. If/When he does that, he'll be putting up points like the Slovakian Jagr he was destined to become.

3: I yelled "don't dive" to Stutzle when he left the warmup skate, I did my part.

4: Joshua Roy looks a little lost in some play patterns (which is to be expected of a rookie that joined the team mid-season) but he has alot of good reflexes and always seems to make the smart play with the puck. Really looking forward to seeing how much he improves in the next months/years.

5: Despite the stinker of a game for at least 2 periods, Scabeh Jr and I had alot of fun and it should be a long lasting memory for both of us.

6: Angry Nick Suzuki has a different face on and levels up the whole team, we need to see it more!

7: The whole 3 centres for 4 lines works in the beer league, doesn't work in the NHL IMHO. But that's more on HuGo than on St-Louis.

If the team cannot get hyped and put on a good show against Roy and the Isles tomorrow, then there is a real problem going on in that dressing room.

3 centers does not work, either, Habs need to address that issue.

3 centers and 3 goalies it balances out.

2 - Slaf just needs to shoot more, period. Too often he looks to CC or Suzuki to take the shot, passing up chances he should take. Maybe not every shot will be a goal, but perhaps a fat rebound for someone else would result to more scoring chances.

5 - That is what it is all about! Glad you had fun.

Roy looks slow out there, he really needs to add strength and improve his skating

Suzi is not a #1 center, Dach is made of glass

Habs need to find a #1 center...and it will most likely come via the draft so don't expect a quick turn around, takes time to draft and develop. I don't see them being a legit playoffs contender before 2026-27 unless they make a big trade and find a gem

I think the Habs could be fine with Suzuki and Dach if the latter can find a way to remain healthy.

I think they make the playoffs next season. Kids will keep improving, some tweaking will happen and they'll finally be healthy... maybe?

what's makes you think they can stay healthy when you are doing a rinse and repeat?
