I brought out my brand new Caufield jersey!

And I already knew Gally was done, but I found it very obvious up close how badly he's trying out there. Every shift, you can tell the man is giving everything he has.

He just has nothing left.

Well it probably would have more impact if he wasn't a liability out there.

There's a guy on my beer league team, tries his hardest every game but overall is pretty bad.

I can't say he inspires me all that much after giving his 100% on a whiffed pass.

I always liked the guy. But he's obviously done.

He's probably the most frustrated about the situation. And I wonder if Gordon/Hughes would consider buying him out.

There's a very low chance Gallagher is around when this team is ready to compete for the cup.

I think if he played less minutes and not every back-to-back, it might be better for him. But he likely does not want to be a part time player of any kind, and I get that.

This contract screams LTIR in a year or two. Not sure you buy him out now, would be expensive... $2+ million a year for 8 years, $14M over that period. Not like they need the space/cap and he is likely a good mentor for the kids.

LA made a bad trade for PLD. They gave up solid assets, paid him the big bucks and then put him in the line up as their 3rd line centre. And, nobody should be surprised, he has responded by putting up the numbers that you would expect from your 3rd line centre.

LA is in panic mode and anxious to make changes in order to hang on for a playoff spot this year. All teams, especially Montreal and Ottawa need to circle back and revisit the possibility of making a fair offer for PLD.
