From the report of the London assault there was an adult "chaperoning" the kids at that bar. He was footing the bill for the drinks that girl had and reportedly gave her one or two shots and told her to "take good care" of the player she was originally paired with. I think by most accounts she was fine with it being a one night thing with a guy but not expecting what happened.

Who was that guy? Presumably an agent - or at least working for an agency.

But these are the ones who give these kids permission to misbehave. They are the David Frosts of the hockey world, but you're right - they exist in all professional sports with young athletes who stand to bring in large sums of money.

I would agree with that - Matthews got 2 games for a BS crosscheck and had never been suspended, that Gallagher hit is much much worse, looked predatory and was super late.
