if CGY pick is in the 20-32 range, Habs can choose to have that 2024 pick. CGY currently ranks 24th (that's a top10 pick), so very unlikely their pick will be in that 20-32 range.

Habs will pick in 2025.

if 2025 CGY pick is in the top 10, Habs will get the FLA pick.
if both CGY and FLA picks are not in the top 10, Habs get the better pick.
ideal situation CGY picks 11th and we get their pick. most likely, we get FLA pick, late first.

if CGY picks in the 20-32 range, Habs can take that 2024 pick.

if Habs pass, they will pick in 2025. if 2025 CGY pick is in the top 10, Habs will get the FLA pick.
