Anyone else find it funny this is happening right in the faces of all those alumni? - Pelle31Forever
It was funnier to listen to the pundits fawn all over and suggest the Flyers were close after they had won 5 in a row….great they have a good culture …a good dressing room…but DB has work to do. He now has 10 days. No need to wait till the deadline. |

Ever worked for a company that you knew was going nowhere fast? Kinda looks like that to me, for a long long while now. - FloHaake
In this case they seem to be going nowhere slowly enough to suggest they could yet make the turn many know they won't. |

I find this very offensive.
The Flyers are lead by a group of men that have been pillars in the foundation of what the NHL is. Of ensuring that culture, effort, and hard work is not lost on the new generation of NHL players.
The kids these days just don’t know how to lace ‘em up, and play with some fortitude.
Cutter Gauthier will definitely regret his short sighted decision. |

As long as the alumni continue to get good treatment this game doesn’t matter.
It was great to pay homage yesterday, and hopefully a few more roles can be found in the organization for truly incredible men to help guide the franchise in 2024.
The country club has at least a little more space right Bill?
I’m sure Jonesy can work out something out for them. - FlyerFan3260
Excellent post.
We know that teams across the league do the alumni thing (Boston, for example ha) but no organization has held on to their glory days like The Country Club on Broad.
It helps to have continued winning traditions, if you’re gonna constantly harken back to the glory days. Otherwise, you’re just the hockey version of Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite.

The key is to miss the playoffs and secure the 14th pick in the draft.
That is the formula! - PLindbergh31
But they finished 13th. But got lucky and "won" Nolan Patrick in the Hakstol era. Double whammy 😁🙂↕️ |

I respect Cutter more than any Flyer employee. To have the balls to look at an incompetent organization the way he did…
Having to swallow a top prospect not even wanting to sniff the ice in your sweater should have been a wake up call. Instead they chose to destroy him in public.
Do wonder who still believes this is a path to a successful rebuild? Retaining all your valuable pieces while drafting in the middle of the first round?
Thank goodness we have the alumni golf game to look forward to. That’s crucial.
Jonesy, Briere, and Torts. I’ll tell you one thing, I’ve got faith that we are doing things differently that’s for sure. |

You know you and I are on the same page on a lot of this but Gauthier did not want out because the Flyers are an incompetent franchise. I don't respect Gauthier for his decision. |

A complete embarrassment for everyone, the way they circled the wagons to try and besmirch the dude for “not liking The Flyers”.
How about if you’re a reputable franchise with competent management, players will have no problem suiting up for you. This was a complete black eye for them, so they played victim with the media. Truly like, Mean Girls level poop.

I just checked on the score and i'm so glad i'm not watching this game today.
5-1 already?!
This break can not come fast enough.
But at least we finally won't feel bad when we sell at the TDL |

So what if he did? Why does it matter to him what an 18 year old did…. 6 years ago? |

He was picked 2 spots ahead of Morgan frost. He’s the right age for this core, the price is fine and perhaps they are hoping he has some untapped potential |

It speaks to the overall dysfunction of this franchise. That’s my point, not that he would refuse to play with Hart. |
