I agree with the big picture analysis, and the evidence seems to point to that, but people here get locked in and nothing will persuade them.
1. Cutter didn't want to stay with the Flyers for the ELC reasons and he showed his dissatisfaction by returning to college for 1 more year. Then he agreed to a trade to a club where a roster spot has also not been guaranteed (statements by Verbeek suggest he will again have to earn a spot).
2. Cutter is a prima donna, even though there is no evidence of that in his past and evidence to the contrary. (statements by his coach).
- PT21
Was Gauthier a prima donna when he was willing to sign in March of 23? Or did he become one after that?
3. Cutter himself says there were lots of reasons. But hey, why the hell would we believe him over the Flyers?
So, forget it, Jake. Its Chinatown. - PT21
Saying there were lots of reasons why is the same as saying nothing. |

Just like they decked Scott Stevens in game 7 when he ended Lindros career and the Flyers chance at a Stanley Cup. |

I see weāre getting annihilated. Oh and we are outshooting them! Another game of bad bounces? At least Danny can get busy over the phones over the break. |

Not what Iām saying, but ok. But for a completely unprecedented event (Lindros was not the same), what else do we have but speculation? Not about the situation involving hockey Canada, Carter Harts involvement, whatever, Iām talking speculate on why a player for virtually the first time ever told a NHL team GFY. - FloHaake
The obvious point being...it doesn't matter. If the players are charged and found guilty then rot in hell, otherwise welcome back. Does speculating make your life more whole? Do you get a promotion and become a super detective if you guess right?
As for the Cutter situation, maybe it's the first time for this EXACT scenario, but it is far from the first time a player didn't want to play for a team, it actually happens a lot. Even as a conversation, it's a waste of time. |

So Cutter is willing to sign but the Flyers say wait. They didnāt sign when he was willing. Then he reassessed. The reasons donāt matter much.

Brutal game to watch today. 6-2 drubbing by Boston. I hope the Flyers get things straightened out after the Allstar break? |

Lots of reasonsā¦I just canāt name oneā¦ - landros 2
We have discussed this too. š¤
If you were leaving an organization because your overall impression is that it is moribund and not going anywhere but it is still a powerful entity in the industry you are going to spend your career in, would you say the truth? No, you would not stir up a hornets nest. There is nothing whatsoever to be gained by adding further insult to injury.
You would cite: "personal reasons". Sound familiar?

When the 66th overall pick Adam Fox did it, most of us probably didnāt even hear about it.
This is unprecedented. Stop acting like the CG/Flyers thing is just business as usual in the NHL.
Whatever the truth? I think it looks worse for the Flyers than CG, and I will hold to that forever.
