That's your opinion. I have a different opinion, and I know a lot of hockey people that think the same way I do. - jd250
No you don't. That's more fantasy and it's making you look like a jackass.

I said at the time of the Dallas game the Flyers didn't look right and I thought they would limp into the all-star break. So what exactly was a wrong about? - jd250
That the Flyers didn't look right in that game.

Why do you highly doubt it? Don't you think the Flyers have a lot of defensive prospects in their system? If it turned out that Jiracek did not want to play for Columbus, and honestly, why would he?, is it far fetched the Flyers put a package of players together to try to get him? Columbus might like a package that included Andrae or Bonk, with maybe another NHL defenseman like Zamula or RR if the Flyers cover some salary. - jd250
Just more evidence.

Barclay Goodrow? He's a mediocre player and was a huge mistake by Drury to sign him to that deal. One of many mistakes that Drury has made. - MJL
can you name the many other mistakes he has made?
He is slightly overpaid though is giving them what was expected. Back to back 30+ point seasons. What more do you expect? |

Why do you want Broberg? He's 22 and can't seem to crack an Edmonton lineup that is far from lights out defensively. - jd250
I remember when you criticized the Giroux trade because they got a player in Tippett who couldn't hold down a spot in the lineup. You stated that Fletcher got fleeced in the deal.

Do you watch Pastrnak play on a regular basis? Do you hear what local hockey people in Boston who know more about hockey in their pinky nail than you could ever hope to know, say about Pastrnak? No of course not. You see him play one game where he has a good game, and you just assume this is who he is. If you watched him game in and game out, you would maybe have a different perspective. I am not saying Pastrnak is not a great player, just that if I had a choice, TK is where I would start. If you have no words, well, perhaps you should keep it that way. - jd250

Why would the Flyers have to eat salary when trading their best d-man in rr? |

It's laughable. He claims that we look at one game and think that's who he is. Just ignore being one of the top point getters and goal scorers in the NHL and that he's the best player on the best team in the NHL. You're only seeing one game. Hysterical and sad all at the same time.

The Dallas game. You know, what started this conversation.
I said back in December the wheels were going to fall off. I couldn't predict Gauthier or Hart, but I did say an inury would bite us, and said they can't maintain the style of game they are playing. Over using guys, Coots and Cam in perticular...I just thought this would happen back in Vancouver, not a couple of weeks later. They look worn out and have 30 games to play yet.... poor player management, and this 11-7 bs when already shorthanded...it has all hurt the team.
I would be thrilled if Briere stepped up and started the next step...clearing out the guys we all know should be moving on. It is foolish to think that this team will turn it around,

You could be right. I may have been thinking of Gorde when he was on Tampa (spelling ??).
EDIT: I looked it up and Gourde is who I was thinking of. |

This is what you do. You try and introduce anecdotal evidence that you can't prove and nobody can disprove. We all know and I hate that fallacy but here it is appropriate. That your insinuation that anyone in Boston that has any clue is saying negative things about Pasternak as a player, is pure fantasy. It's just more proof that you have zero ability to accurately assess anything to do with the game of hockey. Even when it is painfully obvious. Pasternak is universally considered a superstar elite player and one of the top players in the NHL. By everyone, with the exception of you. It is not debatable. - MJL
He's trolling, as usual. I like TK a lot and think he's a really good player. But.... NO ONE! I mean NO ONE in their right mind thinks TK is better than Pasta. Not even TK thinks that.

Both Goodrow and Reaves earned the very last pick of the 1st round. Reaves had a 2nd go he other way, Goodrow a 3rd. Both provided the sort of team toughness depth for playoffs skilled teams covet.
Overpayment? a bit, but not my much.
