My buddy who runs our tech team (hardware) told me this morning that a VP called him at 8pm on Sunday in a panic that he restarted his computer and lost all of his data. He was freaking out and panicking...turned out...he had logged into default user login instead of his personal account on the computer.

What a spazz.

Well all the managers in our IT departement quit. The two tech are probably about to quite because they are being forced into the union. They are hiring a new director position for it because it used to be under finance which didn't really make sense. He's going to have a fun time.

We have a VP/CFO, she handles IT, HR and Finance. In the last year alone, 100% of the HR team quit/replaced and all but 1 IT tech left out of 6 people in IT. Never seen a team in HR and IT so demoralized, the new ones all want to leave also.

Yeah there's always going to be at least one service that's going to be left out when managers have to wear multiple hats like that. Never really seen it going well. But hey you save a couple of bucks.

Depends on company size, too.

which is why a lot of people have multiple portfolios... and if they grow, they often leave it how it was until someone leaves then they restructure.

Guys.... Monahan is a hot commodity for contenders looking for center help!

Shocking, I know! But EK is all over this....

I wonder which team will be ready to pay the most? Boston?
should be interesting. best rental Habs had in quite some time.
at 2M per, the list of buyers should be long enough to boost the price up.

Boston has no picks, few prospects. They would have to include Poitras which makes no sense from a Bruins point of view.

Look at Wpg, Van, Col, NYR and Dallas

Habs will prefer a young player to a draft pick IMO, expecting a young forward drafted the past 2/3 years

Habs might add a pick or yong player to get a bigger return with Monahan

Mavrik Bourque from Dallas?
McGroarty from WPG?

Obviously Habs would have to add a player and most likely a pick with Monahan.

I hope/expect a move like this from HuGo

Depends.

If it s legit top 6 player, then probably yes.

Otherwise, I think they go with the best pick they can get and have that pick (plus others in their control) to package for a younger top 6 player in the off-season.

I could also see a member of the young D corps going the other way, too.

Monahan, Pearson 50% retained, a young LD, a pick or two.... no problemo

Contending teams are not going to want to subtract from their roster, so you are likely taking a kid with no NHL experience at this point... that is riskier.

I expect Monahan to be traded for a pick, and some form of package over the summer will land some help in the top 6.

HuGo like prospects that are 20-22yrs old so about to graduate from Jrs or already in the AHL, more info in their development at that point and closer to playing in the NHL.
