Looking at the standings, I'm wondering if the Panthers catch Boston before it's done. Although I have no love for Florida, they play old school, tough, passionate hockey. They are everything the Leafs aren't and most of the fanbase wished for our team. I'm not sure how the Leafs counter that, without moving a core piece out for some cap space to make those kind of changes. We've had 6 years of this and soon to be 7. I'm thinking that the Leafs should stand pat, if they don't wish to move Marner or Nylander and concentrate at picking up draft picks at the trade deadline. Although they've played better lately, their inconsistencies have proven deadly. Too much is being said by bloggers and wannabee insiders about what the Leafs should be pursuing at the trade deadline. I'm guessing Treliving will do little or nothing, since that's what he's done since he came to Toronto. I'll be glad to see the All-Star game bullpoop end soon, so we can get to the stretch drive, have our week of passion, then pain, then get summer started.
Apparently it's this (if you don't want to watch the video):

Florida should worry about staying ahead of the Leafs first - which they ain't gonna do.

I wouldn't want to play Florida in round 1. They feel that they have unfinished business, after making it to the finals last year. Boston, like Carolina play their best hockey all year and there's little room to play better, once the playoffs come around. I'd rather play the Rangers in round 1, as a Wildcard team. On paper, they look great, but always seem to fall apart in the first round of the playoffs. My guess is Carolina catches them for 1st place eventually. That's another team I'd rather play than Florida or Boston. Leafs could get a goalie hot and win a round, but I'm guessing, once they hit one of the top 2 teams in the Atlantic, that's the season. It would be a good time for them to self reflect and actually move on from either Nylander or Marner. I know they have no movement clauses, but they could be convinced that it's not in the cards for them to play in Toronto. I'm hoping that the Leafs do eventually move on from Keefe, after they are ousted in the playoffs and consider someone like Dale Hunter to come in and make life difficult for some of our lazy core players.

IKF was a Gold Glove Award winner during the 2020 season when he was a member of the Texas Rangers. However, he was awarded the award as a third baseman at the time. ๐

Everything Rodgers turns to poop! Jays suck, Sportsnet sucks, their cell service is overpriced, they need to leave MLS&E because their influence there taints the sports teams. Hopefully, TSN ends up with the National TV rights in a couple of years. Sportsnet blows!
