Lindholm trade was a good trade for both teams. Kuzmenko 8 goals, Lindholm 9 goals, both players having off years. Lindholm gives the Canucks a very solid 2nd line player, whether Tocchet plays him at center or on the wing. He can help on the powerplay, or the penalty kill He wasnt happy that there’s been no contract talk since the beginning of the year and it showed in his play. I’d expect that the Canucks will see a very motivated Lindholm and will be suprised at how good he can be. Anything the Flames can do to help the Canucks get by the Oilers is a win in my opinion. I’m sure Conroy wants a lot for Tanev or he’d be a Canuck as well, it’s silly season for trades with GM’s doing stupid things. Alvin may revisit this once he sees other teams making moves.

Could be, but I think if that’s the asking, Alvin would have done the deal. Getting a good teammate that can shelter some of the other D’s shortcomings is more important than the 60th pick and a prospect at this time.
Oh and btw. Fuk Toronto and Treliving, guy left the Flames in a mess and would like nothing better than to watch him turn the Leafs into a bubble team.

Canucks will keep him for the playoffs, he can be a physical force out there as long as he keeps it simple.
He wanted to be in the top 4 but couldn’t really justify taking someone’s spot. He seems to have a short shelf life with his teams, I’m not sure why.?
