I forget the exact quote but some Russian player who went back to the KHL a few years back openly said he would go to the bar and see him sitting there doing lines of coke. It was right around when his play dropped off and Caps were talking about trading him. It may be related.

Two things:

- if they're scoring 2.2 for every 1 they give up, and the point of the game is to score more than your opponents... that's pretty good lol

- very imperfect math since I can't find the actual stats for how many goals they've been on for, but Hughes is +34 with 39 points outside of the PP. That doesn't scream like they're giving up a ton of goals. Hronek is +33 with 25 points outside of the PP. And fair, they play a lot with the Lotto Line... but Miller is only +21 with 38 non-PP points. So there's a sizeable gap there.

I just threw the 2.2 amount out there. I never looked at the stats. My point was he is on for a lot of goals IMO. I agree with Kman for once he looks more like a baker than a playmaker to me. I am not against him but I am not a huge fan of his either. I don't want Canucks spending a lot on him.

I could play with QH and be plus 20 also. It still wouldn't make me a great defender.

That’s a can of worms you don’t want to open.

They're 1 and 2 in the league at +/-. Not the best stat, obviously, but when in the context of scoring a lot and giving up a lot... that's not really true. More so when that doesn't count in PP points.

Luke Schenn was plus 9 last year and plus 15 the year before as a Canuck playing mostly with Hughes. When he left QH he was -1 with the Leafs after 15 games and only plus one this year.

Numbers +/- don't always give the full story.

Aman has been just fine as a 4C on the cheap. No complaints there.
