You'll never get it thru your thick skull, you're as dumb as Reuby and Nighthawk, among many on here. One is a center the other is a winger, hard to compare them but OV is more decorated by the league.
OV...
Calder Trophy
Hart Trophy - 3
Pearson/Lindsay - 3
Art Ross - 1
Rocket Richard - 9
Conn Smythe - 1
Crosby...
Hart Trophy - 2

They are bith absolutely generational players, have been for a long time and arguably since their firat season. |

You’re kinda late to the party. It was just a filler waiting for the game. |

Trotz finally got OV to set aside his selfishness and buy into the program. It got him his cup but that was pretty much only one season where OV backchecked and played 200' Hockey. Before and after that you would need to fact-check it lol
But TBH OV is barely mentioned in the same sentence when compared to what Crosby has done. It's actually not close.
Then again Lefty probably hits those cheap ass COSTCO Kirkland golf balls and he tells himself they are better than Titleists lol. I mean what do you do with a mentality like that?

That was actually a highly skilled tip. To pull it in and angle it like that… I’m optimistic with that kind of play. |

I think it’s a term that’s used way too loosely and largely misunderstood by younger folks. In the past 100 years the league should only have about five or less players who would be considered “generational”. Players who were so good they transcended the game, players like Bobby Orr, Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, D. Hasek, Connor McDavid….an argument can certainly be made for others, such as Crosby, Lindros, Ovechkin, Bossy, Jagr, etc. Those guys were also so much better at their craft than all the other players but they weren’t at the same level as the first five I mentioned. I could easily argue that Eric Lindros was a one-off generational talent, there’s never been a player who brought what he did to the table, he was one of the most dominant players I’ve ever seen.
“ A generation refers to all of the people born and living at about the same time, regarded collectively. It can also be described as, "the average period, generally considered to be about 20–30 years, during which children are born and grow up, become adults, and begin to have children."” |

Roy? Brodeur? Hall? Sawchuk? All played the most important position in Hockey. Maybe time brush up on your Hockey knowledge. You're getting tunnel vision. |

Yes, I could’ve listed ten or more players easily but I thought the post was too long as it was. |

He’s showing his skill at both ends. Like how he covers and moves the puck too.
Plus the 2nd PP goal again by Lindy! |

I listed Dominik Hasek, so don’t get your panties in a bunch. He was so good at stopping pucks he won two Hart Trophies, the only goaltender to do so, truly a one-off player in the Orr, Gretzky, Lemieux category. |

That really isn't that much of an accomplishment seeing as the legendary Jose Theodore also won one and he was NO Hasek. The only generational goalies are Roy, Hasek and Brodeur and maybe Dryden (I'm not familiar with goalies earlier than the late 60's-early 70's |
