I think I am going to change my prediction about Guentzel. The more I think of it, the more I think Canucks will add Likker at the end of the year to play with the other two Swedes on the second line.
I still think they are in on Tanev at TDL or summer and Greenway for some toughness and PK. - VANTEL
I don't think that Tocchet is going to trust Lekker in that short amount of time. Plus he has a LONG ways to go before he plays Tocchet hockey. |

Islanders fans are pathetic and so are you for sharing this. The islanders pick was looking like a lottery pick in one of the deepest drafts in the last 20 years. We just traded a late first in a sub par draft. Isles pick > than the entire package we traded.
Hronek plus Raty > Kuzy + first + Hunter - CanuckDon
Just getting rid of Kuzmenko's 5.5 million next year gives team a lot more flexibility. Allvin seemingly moves on quickly from mistakes and doesn't have to pay a penalty for doing so, I like this as a refreshing change from dumbass Benning. |

100% this.
If we were out of the playoffs and resting vets, then i could see him coming in and getting a cup of coffee.
Playoffs? Not a chance.

Exactly. These gms are night and day different. Trade may or may not work but take the swing when your team is good. The flexibility alone this provides is worth the run. |

Sawyer Mynio is having a good year for Seattle who are coming to PG in march I’ll have to get tickets. |

Sabers would have to retain 50% and that would cost Canucks more for what Sabers paid in trade.
If they extend Petey and sign Lindholm then they would have to add Lekermaki to next seasons roster to fill in for all the players they won’t be bringing back. |

Lindy and Petey could hit it off well complementing each other. That’s another positive for both of them to sign with the Canucks long term. |

Rutherford: Lindholm could be a rental. He could be a long term guy. In an ideal world, we’d like to keep him. |

This is going to go way over your head clearly but I'll try for you.
Isle's pick ended up in Detroit being 16th (Axel Sandin Pellikka). Most people project offensive top 4 D. The projection for Brzustewicz recent rise in value is an offensive top 4 D.
Raty, younger player with middle 6 upside which probably has the same projection as the Canucks late round 1st this year.
Kuzmenko=Beauviller
Extra 4th round pick to Calgary which could turn into a 3rd that doesn't hold a lot of value. Depending on what is done with it. |

It's not all that common to explode like this in a D1 season (based on where he was when drafted) but most of the ones that do this have gone on to play at least 100 games in the NHL.
Looks as if Mynio is going to play at least 100 games |

He'll probably join Utica after his season ends. Learn the system there and be a depth option in case someone gets injured in the playoffs. |

Just hearing about Hunter Brzustewicz not wanting to sign in Canada. If true, this deal is looking much better. It’s still a lot, but if Lindholm can be the player that Hrudey was gushing about last weekend, then I’m excited. - bloatedmosquito
He already chose to play in Canada. Rumour sounds unlikely. Plus he's still owned by a Canadian team. He's not exactly the level of prospect that can dictate where he plays. |

Francesco had his yes man at a very cheap price.

Do we have the pieces for another big swing tho?
Mgmt has done a pretty good job making trades and keeping our best prospects in the system.
Weve traded a 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th plus Hunter and Jurmo (and Kuzmenko) for Zadorov and Lindholm.
Unless we include Hoglander, Willander, Lekermaki or future 1sts, i don't see what we have to offer for a Guentzel at this point. - dbot
If they are all in, then everything is on the table.

It is strange but that’s what some are saying. As I said, if that piece of gossip is true, then I feel better about the trade. |

That's the plan.
Hopefully he adapts quickly to the system.
I'd imagine there would be quite a few forwards ahead of Lekerimaki in the call up queue for this year.
Pods being the obvious one.

I'd hope he would come play for Van's farm team in Abbotsford. |
