no he really was right. over a period of time the refs had let the game get bogged down with all that. nobody wants to see 2-1 scores every game. and hockey wasn't gaining all the new fans they could have been all that time.

Yep. Not saying he didn't have a point but every great player had to deal with that kind of crap. bobby hull used to pretty much have guys piggyback riding him cause there was nothing else they could do to slow him down.
