Growing hockey really just comes down to affordability in youth hockey. People tend to care less about sports they haven't, or will never, play.

true, it can be an insanely expensive sport to get into, especially if you're an average-income family or below with 2 kids or more that want to play and need new gear basically every year.

at this point in the season it doesn't really change anything, and besides all 3 goalies have done fairly well with the rotation, I don't see the urgency at all there anymore.

bah, Montembeault has been getting a decent number of starts, and Primeau is still learning through the process, it isn't the same kind of situation as during covid when he was stuck on the taxi squad not playing at all.
