Johnny Hockey was just on the FAN590 and said it's always been his dream to play center for the Flyers

Serious question... Has he ever played center in the NHL... or anywhere for that matter?

With the disaster the Blue Jackets have been for years, and after the Babcock debacle this summer, the whole management group should be fired. They have had the picks and prospect to at least be a decent team and they always suck. Time to clean house.

The point is, if I were the owner, I wouldn't let Davidson or Jarmo Kekäläinen have the power to trade players like Jiricek. Let the new GM be hired, or replace with a temp GM, but either way, there should be no moves of anything other than older UFAs on CBJ until a new management is in place. I just don't think the current group would get it right.

These are all great points. Every draft the TV analysts seem to rave about Jarmo but I don’t see it. They draft decently enough but he hasn’t gotten that team anywhere.

Flyers are not a good team as their record shows 25wins 25 losses. They are a mediocre team that has overachieved to this date .
- hfc355
In the NHL they use Wins 25 Loses 19 and OT 6 to be specific. All teams uses the same stat lines to gauge where they stand in the standings. In the Flyer case they are 8th in the Conf Technically, they are 2 up in the playoff race with the tie breaker. Now that we have factual data, you can proceed with your agenda. That is all.

Flyers are so weird. Bend over backward to make sure the veteran locker room cheerleader on a one-year deal gets the VIP treatment he's entitled to... but "core" players like Hayes and Provy are basically tossed out like snotty tissues without a second thought.

Hayes and Provy became soft players. Hayes was ALWAYS soft and I'm not sure what happened to Provy. Apparently Columbus is looking to move on from him already.

The NHL uses a broken, illogical pt system to falsely create parity and thats factual data, so I DGAF what they say. Its indisputable that they have played 50 games, won 25 and lost( the opposite of win) 25

its that (frank)ing simple

thats a not the same discussion. those are the actual stats and again all teams play under the same rules. thats a fact. the flyers are a bad team. thats an opinion. my opinion is they are an ok team and now have a major problem with one decent goalie at the nhl level. no i dont think they are a bad team. i would guess anyone who says so prob did not feel the same way 5 games ago

Anyone who watched the 50 games or whatever they played and thinks they are a bad team is a moron. They’re an average hockey team.

Unless a surefire top 5 lotto team is willing to give up their 1st the Blue Jackets have little reason to move him now imo. Maybe in the summer.

If the Flyers are looking to make a big trade like that however I’d prefer it be for a center.

- hereticpride

I think the Flyers will do something small to get a playmaking center. I could see them getting Wennberg(4.5Mil) on an expiring contract. He started slow but is playing much better. Seattle has McCann and Beniers at center with Shane Wright waiting in the wings so they could get him probably for a 2nd and maybe a lower pick or prospect. I think they could get a 2nd and a 3rd or a prospect for Laughton. Then they could try to sign Wennberg for 3 years or let him walk. I think Wennberg has played for Torts.

It's still 25 wins and 25 losses no matter how you slice it. It's just some losses are worth a point in this system the NHL developed to give average teams hope for a while. There are no ties. PS....Flyers are 8th only because they have played more games then some.

Excuse my absolute stupidity, I’m sure you guys are used to it by now. Two issues for me. I read Konency just went to his second All-Star game. I could swear this was his first. Also the broadcast just said we’re in a five game losing streak. I could swear it was six.

Looks like the same team as before the break. Keep this up and we’ll get destroyed.

I’m not expecting a very good month for this team. Panthers might be the tip of the iceberg

A little different when you know you’re the number one. Errson isn’t ready. He shouldn’t be ready. A lot to ask of a rookie.
