Ok. I’ll bite. Why would they trade the only defenseman worth a damn on the team? I thought it was a retool. Not a complete tear down rebuild. Trade any and all defensemen NOT named Parayko. Faulk and Krug need to go. Nothing against Faulk. He is fine. But I’d trade him over Parayko anyday. Stop getting these 5’8 on skates dmen. Blues won the goddamn Cup with HUGE defense. Binner is fine as the defense has solidified a bit this season and is actually able to help him out. The laundry list is long for the Blues and I don’t have all the answers. Saad is good for what he brings. So is Schenn. Buch is good. All the money tied up in Thomas and Kyrou I’m not sure of. I like both but both have faults that at times are glaring. Why the (frank) do the Blues have a week off after the stupid asg? Whoever did the scheduling is a (frank)ing fool. Sets the blues up for a lot of games in not that much time. I’m okay with that but if they makes the playoffs they will already be worn out.

Think what you will …….. the Blues are not trading Parayko ! I will venture to say they are working on a LD out of Calgary ! Hanifin is just what Armstrong has wanted for a few years. Since we are throwing BS around there is a much better chance of the Blues acquiring Hanifin than trading Parayko .

And that will solve their problems. Window closed firmly

Anyone who pays that price is ridiculous. He is as soft as they come. Bit of an offensive resurgence this season, but the Hedman comparison? Not even close. 😂😂😂

Agree 100%, ya gotta be nuts to give up what Armstrong is purportedly asking for. He's having a decent year but it isn't outstanding. The Hedman comparison is also equally ridiculous. I would say, Nope, no soup for you

As I recall, the primary issue with Parayko was his injury history, specifically his back, the duration of the contract (7 more years) considering he's already 30, and the fact that the Blues already have 4 30+ blue liners with at least 3 more years left on their contracts (Leddy, Krug, Faulk).

Sure, he's huge and right handed, but checked his stats and he's not turned things up a notch by any measurable metric, so he's somehow gone from unmovable as recently as last year on a recent cup winner to worth multiple firsts on a non contending garbage team? I don't think so... if there are legit whispers of him costing 2 firsts, it sounds a lot more like team/agent posturing amd whispering into blogears to pump a player's tires and value than realistic worth. It's not like he's Tanner Jeannot.

Armstrong should have just accepted Nylander for Parayko. Then flip Nylander as a rental with 50% retention. Imagine what a contender would pay for Nylander at 50%, Would be a win for Toronto who could use a Hedman.

Weren’t the Yotes originally asking for the equivalent of 4 1sts for Chychrun? They got a conditional 1st, a conditional 2nd and another 2nd.

Pylon Parayko has been horrible again this year in the D zone and on pace for lowest assist total of his career. Blues will be lucky to get a 2nd rd pick and 4 used pucks. Hopefully someone bites!

Have you been watching Parayko this season? By far the best defensemen on the team. Ducking troll
