Unless they go back to a division heavy schedule, those days are long gone unless we see them in the playoffs...I think we only see them 3 times this year.

If anything he’s looking over his shoulder and maybe he’ll play better. Fans can turn quickly which should make it fun for him if he gives up some bad goals

Some examples:
19/11/2010, Henrik Lundqvist was pulled after giving up 3 goals in 11 minutes on just 8 shots. Martin Biron started the following 3 games. #NYR

2 months later, after going 1-3-1 with a .862 over 5 games, Lundqvist was the backup for the next 2 games, before he started a game again.

2 years after that, Lundqvist had a .859 sv% across 7 games where the team went 1-4-2. Cam Talbot started the next 3 games.

Zac Jones might actually be our 2nd best Dman at this point. Would be a major mistake to move him.

well he was 10th in GAA and 10th in save percentage last season and I dont ever remember feeling like he was a problem last season

It's the lack if the key save at the key moment. Quick stoning Rantanen at the end of regulation and then his three saves in overtime have become almost the norm for him. We expect him. With Igor, we hope he will make it but don't expect it anymore like year's past. To me, that's the major difference in his play.
