Both players need to be sent to Mars.

Word

I edited that post. Not to start fights lol just to point out they could get a good enough team without trading much

We may not get guys we love necessarily, but can still deepen the lineup

Question is, if this was the "plan," why not state that yesterday when Quick was the first goalie off the ice? Why wait until today?

So both our goalies did not have to face a post all star weekend barrage of never ending reporter’s questions. I’ll be there tonight at my bar stool seats in section 225.

Don’t Wright and Othmann have some WJ tournament history together?

If I remember correctly, Wright was the projected #1 pick and dropped at draft day
To #4 where the Kraken were happy to get him.

I’d have no problem with that

If they went bargain shopping at the deadline, they could do 23 man roster and have both Wheeler and Goodrow as 13-14 Fs. Have them in the room, but far far away from the ice, and everyone wins!

Vesey and JBrod with someone other then Pitlick (maybe) isn’t a bad 4th line

Here’s an example

Kreider Zib Tarasenko (50%)

Panarin Trocheck Laf

Cuylle Wennberg (50%) Kakko

Vesey JBrod Essyimont/Motte (for Gus w/ pick)

Goodrow/Wheeler

Lindgren Fox
Miller Trouba
Jones Schneider
Edmundson (50%- for a pick)

300k to spare

I think they’d be fine with something like this

- Slimtj100

Why would, a perennially cap strapped Tampa team, trade Eyssimont who costs nothing?

However, Keifer Sherwood would be a nice pick up from NSH that costs nothing.

Vesey Brodz goody on the 4th line adds some good speed. Just need a 3c and top rw with $4.4m to do it. No easy task here at all. This is why cap mgt is key. All teams that have won dont overpay players. It creates this mess.

Well just looking at their D, they really could use Gus

Theres more cap than that, they have like 5 extra guys called up.

Id rather deal with a team that we wont possibly meet in the playoffs.

I think it comes out to $5.2m once some players are sent down. Still tough to work with

Goodrow playing is killing them. They didn’t even match up vs McKinnon last game. Which is what he’s here for. Once they went away from that matchup, is when they shut him down. He’s literally useless, Goodrow I mean

Not nearly as tough as you think, just depends on whether or not Drury has the green light to use draft picks.

Senko (50%) from Ott. Novak and Sherwood from Nsh. Those 2 trades essentially fill up all the forward holes, with plenty of cap space left over.

You’re one picky sob let’s eliminate the whole East. Two teams won’t make a trade with us as it is

I do like Sherwood for 4th line

Well, 2 things...

1, you cant honestly tell me you want to make a trade with Tampa that could make them better...

2. Sherwood's overall numbers are better.

Trenin would be another nice pickup, but carrying a bigger cap hit.

Gus on TB isn’t swaying me in a different direction no lol Kakko to pens yea, I see it swaying people

Also trying to find a team contender that could use Gus tho. Maybe Edmonton. His cap hit could get us a much more important bottom 6 player (since we have Jones)

Thing is all those playoff teams are not interested in trading their starters, they will trade picks and prospects.

...and a team like the Caps, who have Dowd and Kubel, have no use for Gus/rentals.

If I’m TB and I have to use either a rookie, dehaan or fleury as my 6th D, ima bit concerned in that. Raddysh, who’s been good, is on their top pair. To me they need a D and if they aren’t willing to trade bottom 6 for one they could be in some trouble. Fleury is on IR too (he’s coming back soon I think). Their D depth is pretty weak

That’s fair. They have an extremely top heavy team.

You could give them Pitlick to replace Essyimont

Do you think Dowd could handle 3C? I saw someone put up Dowd and Aube Kubel for a first and 4th
