Yea, I'm not one to be critical of announcers, but Fridge is pretty bad. This is coming from someone who doesn't mind Hartnell. Most announcers grow on me, so I'm willing to give Fridge time and hope he improves by next season.

And Torts was absolutely right. If I were Torts I would give this team a bag skate tomorrow at practice. The team played like crap after the first period and that is unacceptable. This is the time of the year when the team needs to be playing 3 periods, not taking periods off! They are not good enough to take periods off! The Flyers got a couple of lucky goals in the 1st, nothing that I would be too proud of if I were them. I was pissed at the way this team played tonight, its unacceptable!

It's called score effects and it's very common in the sport of hockey. When they got up 4-0, the game was essentially over. An 82 game season is a long season and a grind. Need to conserve energy at certain points and certain game situations. When the score gets lop sided, almost inevitably, one team will sit back and the team that is behind will carry play. The game ended 4-1 Flyers. Tortorella needs to chill out and I don't know what he said but just taking the cue from what is posted here. The Flyers got a couple of good bounces on goals tonight but that happens when you control play and get the puck to the net sometimes. This Flyers team has played with heart and great effort all season. So they coasted with a 4-0 lead. It's making something out of nothing.
