They were decent the last 2 games, but they haven't been able to get a late goal to get to OT all year. Top line just keeps letting them down. UPL doesn't deserve to be 0-2.
What would a competent owner/President of HO do in this situation? Both coach and GM need to go, but can you do that mid-season? And can you fire the coach and bring someone in knowing the new GM you hire will likely want to choose his own guy? I don’t think any of the current assistants are even capable of being an interim coach. What a (frank)ing mess.
Granted a competent owner wouldn’t be in this situation. Kevin should have been fired after last year’s failure at the deadline.

At this point I think Granato is actively damaging the progression of multiple players they consider their core. Either Fire Granato immediately, bring Appert up and part with KA after the season or Fire them both and roll with Karmanos and Appert. Neither will happen because this organization is not capable of acting like a serious franchise.

I have a lot of sympathy for this take. This team is going backwards. First step might just be drastic moves to stop the regression
