At this point I think Granato is actively damaging the progression of multiple players they consider their core. Either Fire Granato immediately, bring Appert up and part with KA after the season or Fire them both and roll with Karmanos and Appert. Neither will happen because this organization is not capable of acting like a serious franchise. - SoCalPucks
On one hand, I just don't care much at this point. On the other, I want him gone before they finish 7-3 and use that as a excuse to bring him back.
If they didn't give him that stupid extension, he'd be gone.

The extension is reason enough on its own to fire Adams. They’re going to lean on the injury excuse to justify the hole KA has dug for this franchise, and Terry’s refusal to absorb the financial cost it would require to fix it. We’ll know by the trade deadline if we’re throwing away next year too. |

It looks like they have all given up. They need to just tank and shoot for another good draft pick. Then fire Granato and Adams after the season ends, hire a serious hockey coach and president with experience, and turn this team around already. You tried to do it yourself Pegula, but you have failed miserably for 13 years. Do something you are good at and get out of trying to run a hockey team. Farm it out to qualified people. I think you have done enough damage where most of the lifetime fans have even given up. We have all had enough of this crap that you said would be a Stanley Cup contender. Not your way, you haven't even made it to the playoffs. Really? Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is the definition of insanity! Either do the right thing or get committed to a mental institution!!!! |

Or on are way to saving it, he needs to start changing the complexion of the Team. |

The only hope for this team is if Pegula sells it. Hopefully the cost over-runs at the new Bills stadium forces his hand.
Pegula, Adams, Granato, Ellis, Wolford, Christie and a minimum of half the team gotta go. |

What do you expect to learn at the deadline?
This should be a playoff team. Can't imagine anything they do would be giving up on next year.

I have a lot of sympathy for this take. This team is going backwards. First step might just be drastic moves to stop the regression - SoCalPucks
There are enough examples of underachieving teams firing their coach and turning their seasons around this year
We should have been one of them. Adams is safe for some reason so there is no urgency and hasn't been any will to save this season
Its the 2nd week of February and this team hasn't won 3 games in row. Once |

That's crazy. Even the worst teams in the league go on a bit of a run. They never have, even with couple weeks of playing all the bad teams.

Its embarassing as a fan
Why the team doesn't feel that way im not sure |

What does the president do, other than hire the GM? - Lunaion
Guides the larger vision of the team. Works in hand with the GM to strengthen the pipeline and player decisions. In this instance, it’d be the experienced voice to push Adams into making decisions as opposed to sitting on his a%% and tripping over his d!ck |

To me, everyone who wants a pres just wants a better GM. Most teams don't have one.

St.Louis fired their coach and their PP went from dead last to top 10.
Sabres go 0-3 on the PP today and it costed them a point if not two.

Don't really want to point to the PP today.
Down 1 in the 3rd at home, score a goal. They played their worst period.

, who reported Friday the Sabres are shopping him. While a team source told me they're not "actively" trying to move him, multiple teams say BUF is listening. Mittelstadt prefers to stay, I'm told, but he is in play.
Mittelstadt can become an RFA this July. He has arb rights and will command a big ticket. I suspect the Sabres are shopping others on the team, but this could evolve into a big talent-for-talent swap if a trade comes to fruition. |

They were up 2.5 expected goals to 1 after 40 minutes and won the shot quality battle at 5v5.
I had my in-laws over for dinner so I didn’t watch past the midway point of the second so I’ll take your word for it, but they should have never been trailing by 1 going into the third period to begin with had they capitalized on their power plays |

I still think resigning him is the best option.
I highly doubt you’ll get the value back in a trade worth moving him.
Trim the fat off the edges of the roster, get some coaches in here who know what the frank they are doing, and make some freaking trades to support your existing core.
Enough is enough. |

When it’s the rink manager turned GM talking to the clueless president on the regular…. I want that president replaced with someone who actually knows the nhl and what building a successful team looks like |

Guess we use different numbers, but NST had them down 2.57 to 2.9 at the end and up 2.04 to 1.86 after 2. High Danger was 12-12 for the night.
Their goalie played well. Down 1 after 2 was nothing crazy today.
