Coach should have been fired by Thanksgiving
Granato saying he doesn't understand why the team doesn't go to the net or work hard is just straight embarassing. I didnt watch I was busy today but its all the same bullpoop. Every single game
Both him and the GM should be fired today. Who (frank)in cares about time of year. The direction of this club is non existent and there is no accountability for the team failing to produce - ieetbred
I told the same thing to my friends about Granato being fired in November and I was told
Granato earned a full year due to what he did with the last year to see if the team get back on track.
Since literally game 1 of this season. They hasn’t shown anything.

The players should be embarrassed and instead of saying he's out of answers maybe the coach should embarass them once. He should have been fired by Thanksgiving I cant say it enough times but at this point it doesn't matter
Adams needs to sell what he can and make an impact hockey trade. There is no saving the season anymore its over

I just watched Matt Roy lock up Cory Perry to prevent a chance and the realization that nobody on this team know how to do that was a bit sickening. He's going to write his own ticket but this team needs that way more than a six man escort service. - mes418

LATEST ON THE SABRES
SPORTSNET: Elliotte Friedman reports the Buffalo Sabres are seeking help that improve their team now.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: There was a rumor flying around that the Sabres were actively shopping center Casey Mittelstadt and wanted a goaltender in return. The Buffalo News’ Lance Lysowski downplayed that speculation but his tweet is no longer available. However, in a reply to one of his followers regarding the Mittelstadt rumor, Lysowski tweeted they listen when teams make calls but they’re not shopping the 25-year-old center.

To me it means everyone is safe. Incompetence everywhere
If adams ends up getting fired it makes him look even worse. Unable and unwilling to even try and save his own job |

After choking away the playoffs last year, I think that idea is crazy. Neither of these guys have earned anything.

Problems with this team vs the Blues
1. No one wants to go to the net, earn a scrappy goal.
2. Players like Kyrou (who might be the softest player in the league) allowed to stand uncontested in front of our net.
3. Why we continue to water down our top line and PP is mind boggling.
4. No fight in the 3rd
5. Just an abomination of a PP
6. Defense looks completely lost. Not one goal was on UPL. Bad bounce, 4 guys standing next to Kyrou and you don’t even stick tap him, complete defensive breakdown by Power and Joker leads to a tap in
7. No one stepping up offensively
I hope we keep losing so changes are forced to happen |

2029 is our year - washedup20
Just one more 5 year rebuild and we will get there. It’s scary if you think about it.
Everyone in the east that we though were behind us developmentally and playoff ready leaped over us. The wild card threshold is getting larger too. 91 points will be 98 points this year. Could be 105 next year as these teams are all competitive.
Could be more than 5 years before we see the playoffs. We have too many issues that will not be resolved anytime soon for us to be competitive in the east.

Agreed, I’ve been preaching this for all of 23’ - this group requires a rebuild, there is no quick fix in Buffalo.

Agree 100%
Speed, defense, PP, toughness, compete, scoring, 1b goaltending, loser culture, terrible coaching, terrible management
How is this going to magically get fix with a couple minor tweaks this deadline and summer? |

Devils went from picking third overall to making the playoffs last year.
Vancouver went from finishing 22nd overall last year to potentially winning the West this season.
I don’t think anyone had Philly doing what they are doing so far on their bingo card either.
Buffalo is a quick fix away, the problem is turning conversations into moves |

If we fire most of our coaching staff and GM, not resign any of our dead weight, we might have a chance. Problem is, that window has closed. If it was going to happen, it would have already happened. Neither one is capable of building or coaching a playoff team |

Jokiharju's awareness and effort on that 3rd goal was woeful, but so was that rebound by UPL. |

Most of the dead weight has to be gone this summer, doesn't it?
Will they fire Donnie? Probably not. Will they guilt him into some assistant changes? Maybe.
If they both know it's their last chance, maybe it lights a fire. KA is already talking differently. Donnie seems lost.

Harrington brought up what you did in his article today.
>>> Ticket sales, merchandise and concession sales and local television ratings are all going to take a massive hit. In the wake of all that, should we worry about what kind of internal salary cap owner Terry Pegula might impose on General Manager Kevyn Adams for next season?
(Memo to the owner: You already promised a new Jumbotron for next season. You better not renege. There has to be something to look forward to.)
