Very hard to argue the logic. 6’6 puck moving defensemen don’t come around very often. I don’t think they realized he’d be this soft though - lulags

McTavish looks to be a decent scorer with some jam in his game |

Not disagreeing at all. There were better options looking back for sure. Just hard to justify passing on a Power for any scouts/GM’s at the time |

Hedman is an example of a top3 OA defender that showed flashes, but ultimately struggled to start.
Do we think Owen's size will delay his development similarly? I doubt Power reaches those heights, but do wonder if, like many before him, he'll be a late bloomer due to being a giant. |

Well his horrendous contract kicks in next year, if it takes him a few years to figure it out, he will be a net negative as a 1st overall for the foreseeable future

I think it was year 4 or 5 but agreed. Power showed better last year, think he can regain the offensive creativity? |

That's retarded.
Politicians and their fear mongering have grabbed hold of you, no chance of that happening.

Why would he? No one is pressuring him to improve. That contract is signed, he's set for life.

So 1-5/8 seasons in he has played well during his rookie campaign, and substanrard for 5/8ths of his 2nd season.
His Coaches are not doing him any favors in furthering his development.
Same with other youngsters this season. |

I don't think he cares enough about hockey to go that route. I bet he becomes a photographer or something gay after hockey.

Per Lance:
Bryson in for Power, Olo in for Robinson
Sabres’ lines at practice:
Skinner-Thompson-Okposo
Benson-Cozens-Peterka
Greenway-Mittelstadt-Tuch
Girgensons-Krebs-Olofsson/Robinson |

So Friedman mentioned Saros being a interesting Trade Target. They want help at Forward. |

At his size I would love for him to be very physical. Not happening.
I will happily settle for being excellent in his own end first...gap control, keep plays to the outside, create turnovers, tie-up & clear the front of the net.
Contributing Offensively as well...30 - 40 pts while being a 93 of 100 on the D side is what I would crave. |

People said the same thing to me about Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Palestine, China/India/Taiwan and Red/Blue.
Don’t be so confident it hasn’t already started. |
