So 1-5/8 seasons in he has played well during his rookie campaign, and substanrard for 5/8ths of his 2nd season.
His Coaches are not doing him any favors in furthering his development.
Same with other youngsters this season.

All the noise goes away very quickly. Travel the country, it's not the everyday people going crazy (unless they are glued to the television).

That is certainly true. I honestly just can't see how going from a 20pt defender to one of the best in the game isn't a big rise, but I'll let it go. Was more wondering if folks thought Power could turn it around or not. Swap Hedman for Chara, don't matter.

Hedman is an example of a top3 OA defender that showed flashes, but ultimately struggled to start.

Do we think Owen's size will delay his development similarly? I doubt Power reaches those heights, but do wonder if, like many before him, he'll be a late bloomer due to being a giant.

We will continue to mentally masterbate about Power being young and needing to mature etc… I believe more than ever that Owen Power will be serviceable at best… certainly not an $8 million a year defenseman. Does he have some skills offensively- yes he does, but not that of a first overall pick. Defensively he is a yardsale. He was born without a sack.
