Those are the right type to acquire, Foligno is too old.
M Tkachuk isn't being moved, but his brother Brady might be.
There are others.
IMO, the key is ID'g the right guy...then, with all this redundancy in assets, make a play with a substantial package of assets.
This, it costs too much tells me they are unsure if it is the right guy. Of course it costs alot, tighten the belt on the big boy pants and make a franchise altering move...or waste away a shot ton of assets being indecisive. - IonSabres
They should draft some of these guys.

and KA (or the next GM) won't have money for that - Lunaion
Going to be tough, but it's why I'm okay with shipping Mitts out...having a great goalie tandem can go a long way. |

Agreed.
I now don't understand the rumored pursuit of a 1A Goalie (Saros). A 1B / BU for 1 year, sure.
They need at least 1 Top 4 RhD...maybe 2. That and a rugged, 2 way middle six winger...even that is further down the line than those 2 top needs. - IonSabres
Yeah the Saros and Gibson rumors just seem weird. Gibson is LA's target, so I'm hopeful they take that bullet for us. |

Why in the world would the avs trade McKinnon?
To Buffalo ?
We need to find a peca, someone about to be captain material ….. under contract and can’t say no to Buffalo…..
Identify that player - Boss34
No I know, that's why I said he wasn't going anywhere. Identifying the right guy is easy, getting him here is the hard part. KA doesn't have the cahones to pull the trigger on a pop gun, so we'll have to wait on an admin change to see them even identify their Peca. |

They should draft some of these guys. - Lunaion Ok, funny as I was thinking of this over the weekend.
And before I get started, yes I am aware trades in top 5 rarely happen.
Is Celebrini one of those guys? Sounds like he may be, but I have read/watched enough yet.
If he is, make a play for him through a package. Buffalo may get as high as 4 overall before the lottery.
24-1st (4 or 5 OA)
Cozens
Samuelson
Kulich
25-2nd

I'd be fine with any one of Celebrini, Eiserman or Demidov

That’s kinda what tmgm did.
Identify a young captain to be
Trade a bunch of assets
Take on some extra garbage bin contracts
Let his brother play nhl games instead of ahl
Hope the guy takes the next step and doesn’t become a problem
Ror trade, but someone better ……: hopefully
I think we agree 👍

When you pick so early (top 10) it’s hard to draft grit over talent .
Definitely later than in the draft for sure
A draft pick outside the 1st round isn’t going to be our captain anytime soon |

That’s a fun option , is he still available when the Sabres pick 8th OA - Boss34
Id be surprised if he made it out of the top 3 at this point.

I can’t believe it’s mid February and we’re worried about draft picks already.
In the nfl they could trade up a few spots if needed |

Although KA had his back to the wall, he does have experience making nhl trades.
Eichel, Sam and risto trades should help him in the future |

Fwiw, heard through the grapevine that the Avs want to go for it and are willing to pay for Guentzel or Mitts.
What do we think of Byram and Girard? (wouldn't be both, just the names being tossed around) - QuinnFan
They aren’t going to give you anything good. Picks and a prospect you never heard of |

Need him to trade a 3rd for Montour, not Montour for a 3rd this time.
Another Stillman or Clifton isn't going to help.

Canned pineapple
then they just throw it right on top of the pizza and cook the poop out of it...
Gotta be fresh, or don’t waste your time, and lightly grilled before
only thing missing from this picture is some yummy crispy bacon |
