I'm not sure I want either tbh...and not giving up Savoie either. If I was forced, it would be an offer for less...Cliffy and a 2025 3rd. - IonSabres
Agreed. Their best years are behind them. If we're taking on 7.75M worth of 30yos, the return should be minimal. |

Bringing back a player that gets inflated minutes to a reduced role sounds very Sabres.
There is no way they can bring back essentially the same team and expect anything more than crickets at home games.
If you extend Casey and bring back Okposo, that's 11 of the same 12 forwards.
The roster change cannot be one forward and one defenseman.
Nobody will buy that.
You bringing back Zemgus again? - kingcong39
If okposo pops in 20 goals this season, he’s gonna be back. Or at least not retire imo
Zem is gone, the cap hit is to significant moving forward
Zem could simply be pegulas favorite player and a lifer …….

Kid plays a warrior's game, he's going to take some licks, but that's why it's smart not to rush him. I'm absolutely fine with him dominating the AHL next year and learning to protect himself. The further away from that shoulder injury he gets the better. - QuinnFan
This post is the reason why Adams has and will continue to fail miserably. The idea that any of these average prospects are worth waiting on is ridiculous and it is elevated due to the piss poor play in the NHL.
The GM publicly requesting help now also devalues those picks since none can help now on a bottom 5 team to boot.

Savoie got 3:55 of TOI and had a 66.7CF%. I mean, calling any 4 minute sample size "piss poor play in the NHL" is just wild but not only that...HE DID FINE!
That's just pessimism Washy, I'm sorry my friend. |

You think Okposo is retiring if he is plots 20 goals?
Sabres may offer him a multi year deal lol
Probably depends on whether or not the same management team is in place |

A full year in the AHL next year would be a huge disappointment.

39 is correct. Bring back Okie-slo-pokie would cause the 7,500 remaining paying fans who actually attend to be cut in half.
Pegula has to be the most tone deaf person in the world. Fantasy Hockey owner pure and simple. Read a friggin room, lol.

The current NHL roster is playing poorly....the GM is searching for help now....4 1st round picks are not ready to help now.
Nathan Gerbe won the AHL MVP, anything done outside the NHL is irrelevant. Savoie isn't even an average NHL player, he cannot make a bottom 5 roster in the league as a d+2 top 10 pick. He has high potential, but is as injury prone (or even more) as Quinn, all you can do is hope he hits his potential....what player has reached and maintained play at their potential on the Sabres in the last 13 years?
Now all of a sudden the plan is all in on prospects for an organization that has failed every player they drafted in the last 13 years?
Delusional to think the solution for the Sabres is waiting in the amateur leagues. |

Rosen/Kulich/Ostlund/Savoie - none are helping the Sabres becasue none are ready to play in the NHL. This is a fact, do you need to review the NHL roster you dope
You talk about Biden more than anyone I have ever seen, it's retarded. |

What's retarded is your thought that 17/18 YO should be in the NHL playing immediately irrespective of where they were picked in RD 1 when all the evidence is there to prove a different level of development timeline is required based on years of evidence.
Now come back and tell me how McDavid mad it in year 1 while Kulich at 28 needs 2+ years to be ready.
Then a guy who is 18 plays right away and you complain he should be back in Juniors.
Fvck, you are clearly unstable.
Idiot!

Look at the players drafted after them.... 2 whole players are "contributing" on their respective teams.
You need to review about every draft ever. These players dont come in 1 year after their draft. usually not even 2 years after. Unless you're a top 5 player. And look at the top 5 from 2022. None actually making any sort of difference.

Here is what a President of a Hockey Club does.
“Unfortunately, as a team, our results haven’t been good enough. We all, starting with myself, in hockey operations share responsibility for that.
“While our team is improving and we have some very talented young players and prospects, it became apparent that we needed a new voice to lead us forward as we turn the page.”
Terry, TERRY!!!

I have said for 2 years to trade all of these prospects to build a winning NHL roster.
All of you (frank)ing donkey's hoping they develop into elite studs when in reality they will become mediocre middle 6 players while justifying the holding period that is required to allow them to develop and overvaluing that to building a winning team and organization is as moronic as it gets.

(frank) all of them. A 1st round draft pick in 24' is more valuable than a prosect in development. Trade them all. |

I think Okposo should've retired after the D'Angelo fight tbh, so I could care less if he taps in 9 more or not.
If they sign him to anything, much less a multi-year deal, I expect a lot of our players will start asking for trades. |

It isn't, but okay. Rage against the dying of the light if you want, but the 4 1st rounders are going to be good players. Your lack of patience doesn't change that. As with Savoie, every other pick after him is also not ready to help their team...so he's amongst a massive amount of company. |

Adding any of the prospects to the Sabres roster next year will not solve any of the problems the team has.
To all the people the brain bug has already gotten to, there is little hope for you to recover. |

I’ve seen enough of okposo myself uncle ion, completely agree.
Sabres though beat to their own drum and they love okposo . They don’t see any flaws, they see 1st line full in and pp2 specialist.
I’m going tonight with about 6,000 other people 🥅 |

Shouldn't you look at more years and +/- positions, instead of just back? Pretty common for top 10 picks to make it 1 year after their draft, CHL rule definitely impacts it.
Just look at Sabres. Benson, Mitts, and Cozens all were...and the #1's of course.
