I personally don't care about Joker at all and would gladly let him walk. The most milquetoast of all milquetoast defensemen. If you can get something for him at the deadline, do it. RyJo can do it just as well, and cheaper - Hank Balling
I've wanted to move him the last 2 years, but now he's in a very awkward spot of being a top 4 guy who you also scratched a fair number of times.
KA's not going to give him away. Better chance he's the next Olofsson than walking away.

Would I be surprised if Adams gave Jokiharju a more expensive Bryson deal? No. But I wouldn't do it. They need to clear the deck on the back end as much as possible and try again. He'd be an addition by subtraction guy for me.
This d group doesn't work. My $11m d man is a -12 and on pace for 65 points. That's not good enough and they need to get him going. The whole top 6 needs a reshuffle.
Ryjo and Samuelsson on the bottom pair and two new top-4 guys. Bye bye, Mitts and a couple prospects. Cliffy hockey rotating in at 7 |

Gotta do better than trading the odd man out for future consideration. - Lunaion
Yes, can't keep kicking the can. You have built up a lot of Assets and really are running out of spots for them, especially if you extend Mitts. He has backed himself into a Corner, because now who do you move. Your plan Failed this year and how much does that affect what happens next year. |

Would you consider not qualifying him?
2.6m QO. He's arb eligible and likely to get significantly more.

Fire KA and the meatball.
This year send gurgles and Kylee packing asap. Let Skinner go anywhere for anything
This summer trade mitts, Dahlin, and any small forwards that have interest by other teams.

Well gotta be good at a few things and Adams is a Pro at Can Kicking and Future Considerations! We are in the Hands of a Stuart Smalley and his Daily Reclamation's. |

Hope he's changed, but it feels like VO to me.
Can't get much in return, so 2 year extension.

If Adams can't get atleast a B prospect for Joker he's more of a Idiot than I thought. |

Who knows. If he has another do-nothing off season I won't be shocked. I choose to believe Terry will see the season ticket renewals and demand some decent roster turnover.
Lord knows there won't be any firings |

I like Eckerton.
You don't even know who Eckerton is. |

Point taken but the slots - and the cap - is filled at 1C and 2C. You have a great asset to move here and ostensibly the other center positions are filled. We have this great prospect pipeline, supposedly, so Kulich should be able to take a 3C spot on the cheap.
If you move Skinner and don't replace him with another elite winger, we're edging back to playing Reinhart at center with Pouliot and Griffith - Hank Balling
This is a stretch. He’s an elite offensive generator but a lot of that is due to compete neglect to playing any defence whatsoever.
I’ll take my chances that 4 of Tuch, Peterka, Quinn, Benson, Kulich, Savoie, Rosen can stick in the top 6 and keep my 200 foot centre

Mitts needs to be resolved. 4 1sts are coming in to compete for forward jobs. Krebs is an unhappy LOG.
Easy to stand pat on D and G.
Probably not going to see 4 trades, think we have to hope for one big move....or a TDL move followed by a bigger offseason move.

You need 9 wingers to stack those centers though, not 6 and the first 3 you mentioned need deals soon.
Or you can count on Kulich to anchor that 3C spot on the cheap, which would track with the narrative KA has sold the fanbase because we were promised that these prospects were coming to save the franchise.
So is he any good? |

One thing we can't complain about is secondary scoring. With or without Mitts, I think they'll be fine there.

Adams smacked a Table the Other Night Fairborn said after a big Offensive Turnover against Dallas. Said Adams was obviously flustered by some things mumbling under his Breath. Maybe he's finally waking up. |

Time to get ready for a kid 3rd line. They'll sort themselves out and Kulich could give them a nice PP bump.

I think he'll do OK, if he does it. It's very possible Adams just wimps out and gives him a 1 year deal because he can't find a deal he absolutely loves. Then we're talking about a deadline deal next year - Hank Balling
Extremely curious what makes you think he'll do OK based on his track record?
Because he has to does not inspire confidence in his abilities. |

You'd hope he does more than sell him for futures. That's a hell of needle to thread. They don't want to pay him, but the guy(s) you acquire aren't free either.
