Sabres need to stop juggling pairs and stick to something, get a steady Partner for Power or leave R.Johnson there |

IDK, maybe your buddy listens to "after the whistle" then because that's pretty much what Peters said.... Casey is being aggressively shopped with Gibson in the crosshairs.
Personally... I'd much prefer a top four D-man who defends.... they have enough 6'5'' mavericks who are afraid of contact.

They’d need at minimum a coaching upgrade at the assistant level for that… |

No thank you to anything the Flyers have that they'd be willing to trade for Casey.
Not a great fit. |

Their whole season has been shuffled lines and D. Mismanaged from October 12th. The Quinn absence should have been filled by a prospect and the rest of lines intact from last year. If after a month, they aren't showing the offense from last year, then adjust... I can't believe he did... and still continues to separate Tuch, Skinner and Thompson. Granato... like Nolan... In my opinion, has gotten them as far as he can. They need a new coaching staff.

I talked with my Buddy last night and just got a early morning text. He said it looks like Adams is trying a one stop shop and fill a few needs. Team they are having Conversations with have a Goalie, RD, and a player that plays a very heavy game and still contributes. Mitts is in the Convo and a Young Dman but not sure who. This is all Conversation, but would be a big trade. Hopefully I will have some more info later today. - Buff36
It has to be Calgary.
Makes too much sense with the direction that team is going and what they have for sale. |

Nashville? - doubt they trade Saros
Ducks? - would the 3rd time asking Gibson to waive work?
Who else has a goalie they’d move?
And can we trade for a coach? Even an assistant coach…. Maybe two of em - Gr8daygo
It's Calgary:
Goaltender - Markstrom
Defense - Hanifin most likely, but Tanev and Weegar are also possible
Forward - Blake Coleman
No idea how the Sabres make the cap work. |

And... Owen Power... I'm sorry but he reminds me a lot of Tyler Myers... Ooooow look at how tall he is and how great of a skater he is. Calder finalist... Myers Calder winner.
Give him time... he's still young. Defense especially takes time to develop etc. etc.
Neither pass the eye test and neither play with an edge. Height/size is meaningless if you play like sissy. Same goes to our "intimidator" Greenway... He's never won a fight here or in Minnesota. He's as scary as Sabretooth. |

Kid just turned 21 and if you were expecting more physicality out of him. Then you read nothing about him before he was drafted. Sabres are doing him No favors the way they are developing him. |

I know his draft profile....
A lot of similarities to Myers' as well.
Big, Big, BIG. What else can you say about Tyler Myers, he is an absolute giant, the first comparison that comes to mind is Zdeno Chara who only has one inch on Myers as it is right now. Like most young players he needs to and will get a lot bigger, absolutely not afraid of contact and will drop the mitts. Is extremely mobile for somebody his size and his untapped potential and unique physical assets are what have him ranked so high. He is a great skater, but does make some very questionable decisions with and without the puck. May not be as gifted as the other four leaders on his Kelowna squad of Schenn, Long, Benn, Barrie. But again his size and skating ability are just too good to pass up.

Power... like Myers... I'm sorry. Neither appear/ed to be tough. You don't develop toughness as an adult. That happens in childhood. |

There is not one profile of Power that says he is willing to drop the Mitts. Maybe Power gets more physical as he matures, but it's just not his game. Once he learns how to use that Big Body and plant those skates and stick out that A$$ he will stand some players up and use it to control the boards more. |

Bills fans are constantly complaining about "wasting Josh Allen's prime"...
When will Sabre fans start saying the same thing about Rasmus Dahlin? I couldn't even imagine how 31 teams would covet this poor soul if he was on a team that had a clue. |

Similarities... not exactness. I don't know... I've played this sport since I was 4 and I really do not have confidence in him turning into what we as fans hope. I really draw comparison to Tremane Edmunds. How his youth was a get out of jail free card as everyone salivated over his natural gifts. Only to find himself off the team still being mediocre in Chicago with Chicago's press still giving him youth passes.

I truly understand where you are coming from, don't ever think he will be that go take your Head off Guy. But if he learns how to use that huge Body right he can still be physical in his own way. Learns how to box people out he will stand players up just trying to hit him with as big as he is. Gotta get that Trunk stronger. |

Gotcha... Yeah, both those players are class acts and deserve better. Dahlin especially.
He is absolutely incredible. Poor kid has way more on his plate than any other D-man in the league game after game. Sabres need a paradigm shift in a handful of roster spots and philosophy come October 2024. |

Can't disagree with any of that as well as how he is being developed like you said.
Granado... being ok with Power being a rover like it's a beer league game is absolutely mind boggling. But even without that. Being that big and not controlling the front of his own net... Is extremely concerning. As concerning as a lot of the bad habits Granato has no issue with him repeating game after game. If I hear Don characterize another lackluster loss as "a good learning experience that we'll grow from"....
Put it this way. This will be the first year living in Buffalo that I won't see a game live in the arena. This organization makes me sick to my stomach.
