Flyers will resign Seeler and trade Walker. Book it

Sure. That sounds like a reasonable approach. I wonder who they will acquire from Drysdale's Instagram photos. Zegras is an obvious one. John Gibson. Henrique. Vatrano. That's about $21M. Still room for more.

If Montreal waived Slafkovsky, no one would claim him. Just a horrendous hockey player and an even worse human being. Pure trash.

I actually think Jake Allen makes sense for the Flyers. They have no answer at the back up goalie position for this year or next. They can plug an org need now and possibly have Allen for the playoffs this year instead of shopping in the offseason for a similar goalie. However, I would not give up a ton as goalies just dont carry a ton of value in the trade market. Then Kolosov is ready to go for 2026.

The Flyers have an answer for a backup, Pertersen. Unless they can trade Petersen and his 5M cap hit, how does it make sense? You'd have to bury Petersen next season, which would result in 3.85M of dead cap space. Now add in Allen at another 3.85M. Unless Montreal is retaining salary in deal, which would increase the return for Montreal. The Flyers are looking at 7.7M in cap space for the backup goalie! That makes sense?

Allen would help the Flyers reach the cap floor next year.

Weeks ago Ek said the Flyers had 23,1Mil in cap space. Doesn’t that put them just under the cap floor?
