Views from outside the bubble appears that it would be heresy of the highest order to trade Konecny.
The fans about to get what they deserve. - StepfordSam
TK has flourished these last 2 years under Torts. Was never known for his defensive play now hes part of a quality PK and a threat to score SH. He seems fairly durable, has found another gear and may just be one of those veterans needed. Hes a leader for sure. It will all come down to what he insists on in term and AAV and what, other teams are willing to give for him in a trade. Seems there’s been a trend for lower AAV where there’s longer term, especially in to the players 30s. Perhaps the extension might look like 8x7 or even 6x8.5 or 5x9. If a team offers up a true blue chip prospect, a serviceable roster player and a first, then GMDB would be silly not to pull the trigger. Anything less than that, you wait it out and let the dust settle. Worst case scenario, no contract extension and he draws a kings ransom at next years TDL. The Flyers have options and they need to be patient. |

But remember this; except MM, there are NO untouchables on this roster. Period. |

He scored at a higher rate in 19-20 than this season, and led the team in points over Giroux and Voracek.

According to Tortorella:
1) He doesn't think any of the top 7 D deserve to sit out. Keeps Zamula in the lineup regularly.
2) Gives more ice time to the top forwards. - bmeltzer

For everyone talking of Flyers trading TK if they remain in a solid playoff spot 2 weeks from now zero chance they trade him. They are never going to give up the possibility of making the playoffs . They will sign him - hfc355
That's just EK trying to salvage the hype around the dead (after the salary cap), deadline for clickbait rumors. |

Ugh, RR is impossible to move. Salary versus performance. |

The Flyers will:
resign TK
resign Seeler
trade Laughton (at deadline)
trade Walker (at deadline)
Risto (in offseason)
Book it!

Tippett has to shoot that. That is three times already they have passed up shots for a failed pass. |

Absolutely agree. I was yelling at the tv on that one. On his forehand, shoot that rather than trying to make the low percentage pass. |

One thing that bothers me about Risto is, he has a bomb of a shot! If there is anything he can do well, it’s shoot the puck. I don’t think we’re seeing much of his slap shot this year. |

What bothers me is how a player his size can lose so many wall battles |

Hopefully the NHL has a better view because that looks inconclusive.
