Let me think. He's young, very talented and still if healthy has the potential to be a very good player? - MJL
With Kakko the hype was much bigger than the player, I’d pass. |

No, The Flyers don’t need a player like Kakko - jd250
you saying that enforces it even more why they do. |

Really hoping Morgan Riley sees two game suspension. - roenick97
He’s been offered an in person hearing so he’s getting more than that. I think he might get 5 |

What does liquid mean? I think Kakko has more value than a potential late first rounder. I think if I'm reading you correctly you think the Flyers can package a late first rounder and move up into the top of the draft. I seriously doubt that.
Now I'm going to preface this with I don't think the Rangers would do something like this and the Flyers might not want to trade with the Rangers, but how how about these fantasy deals?
Flyers trade Konecny with 50% retained for Kakko, Braden Schneider or Brennan Othmann and another pick?
Or Konecny at 50% retained for Gabe Perrault and a 1st round pick? - MJL
I’d pass on Perrault also, since I actually watch him play and not read the stat sheet. |

I agree that the nhl needs more of this excitement. I find it’s very bland now for the most part. The supposed rivalries are not even close to what they used to be. |

Regardless. We play Toronto on Thursday. Anything beyond 2 doesn’t matter to me. |

That’s what I was looking at as well. Make sure he’s not in the lineup. I wonder how we’ll fare vs Toronto's elite talent? It’d be nice to beat them. |

Keep in mind this can always be smoke and mirrors to drive up value. In Keith Jones book he even talks about how teams will all of a sudden put a letter on a guy’s chest to increase his value. Even happened to him. - Schmojo

In the same realm, there has been talk of Kneis of Toronto being the “instead of a first” for the Leafs.
Thoughts? He’s a big kid - Wingdestroyer
Very talented kid… not producing like one would expect considering he plays with Matthews and Marner… TO would be stupid to move him |

Not necessarily. DB can also make deals in the offseason. I don’t think the Flyers should trade any player for lesser value, nor make a trade for the sake of a trade. I’m getting myself prepared for a quiet deadline. - jd250
I agree. Expecting a home run is unrealistic and probably unfair. The Flyers aren't going to trade Konecny at the deadline. The biggest chip they really have is Walker. the return for him is going to depend on how many teams are bidding for him. Other dominoes such as Tanev and Hanifan have to fall first.

We could use some 2007 homer luck when he got us upshall, coburn and a first and then Flipped to get timo and hartnell. |

this team needs consistent vets for the young guys so if we trade coots and TK who do we have - 2Real You should have no worries about Coots going anywhere. No one is taking that contract.

Turning Freddy Meyer into Alexei Zhitnik into Brayden Coburn was unreal.
Getting Biron which helped bring Briere that summer was huge too. The first half of Homer’s tenure was awesome. |

Pasta, Mackinnon and Kucherov all blasted the Flyers in recent games, so I'd imagine that the Laffs stars will do well too. Although the Flyers were running out of gas before the break, so perhaps they will fare better than they did with those teams. |

I have no idea if Kneis plays net front but in my opinion, that’s what’s wrong with the Flyers PP. I mean, sure, having Claude Giroux in his prime would be nice but in all the years I’ve been a Flyers’ fan, the one constant for a successful Flyers power play was a net front presence. |

Dreger said that the Rangers are not willing to give up their 2024 1st. Does that mean they would be willing to give it up in 2025?
It’s been reported that they’re in the mix for Henrique but won’t give up a 1st. When they added Kane and Tarasenko, it didn’t have the impact they expected.
They added Braun at the deadline so I could see them trying to get Seeler. I think middle of the roster players like Laughton and Walker would be an upgrade rather than making a big splash with Konecny and then trying to replace the assets that he costs. Konecny moves the needle significantly more for the Flyers than he would with the NYR.

I read that. They were unwilling to give up a 1st to get Lindholm. Drury has made some good moves but he has made a lot of bad moves with the Rangers.
