I'm guessing Rielly gets 4 to 5 games. He's been a solid citizen in the NHL and the hot dog play will be a factor. Probably will give Rielly a good rest for the stretch drive. He's playing insane minutes and would be burned out at the end of the season at his current pace. Maybe it will finally force Treliving to make that long anticipated trade for a defenseman. The core malcontents better up their game after Rielly took one for the team. If Marner and Nylander don't up their game, it's time to cut bait with them.

Rielly should do a serious HEEL TURN.

Become the badass he has kept suppressed all of these years. Make opposing players have to rethink how they play against him and the Leafs as a whole.

Just be smart about it and don't bring a bunch of Kadri suspensions down on yourself.

Yep ... you don't humiliate another team when the game is over, the Ottawa guy had it coming. That kid probably got an earful from his own veteran teammates after the game, this is not the place for junior-style hotdogging.

But nonetheless, Rielly will probably pay the price for the retribution ... a game or 2 max in my clueless opinion. Personally I'd give him one game as the kid had it coming.
