Not gonna lie, I like Evans.

Works hard, does the defensive part of the game right, has a little bit of offensive flair (especially if given decent wingers), keeps his mouth shut, does not cause problems, happy to slot in any role or line.

But, unfortunately, I do think his shelf-life is 1 or 2 more years.

Up front, they need to move Dvo, Anderson, Gallagher and Armia.

Outside of Dach, Suzuki, Goal, Slaf and Newhook, guys like RHP and Evans should still be there but there is a huge need to shake things up.

I think next year is the time where a series of major changes will happen with Armia and Dvo will be pending UFA. Gallagher will enter his buyout window and Anderson his salary retain trade window.

Much like the Leaf's D on watching an opponent skate down the ice unchallenged and drill a slapshot into their empty net, I am coasting til the off season with little expectations for the TDL..
