It was a farce. - Marwood
Such a weird thing to be angry about

So this team is "much more suited" for the playoffs because they won one actual round years ago (with a much different line up and much different playing style), compared to the team that went to the actual finals? Ya man not buying it.
Pretty funny you're giving every benefit to this unproven team, and casting doubt on the team that actually did it. Great, they took Vegas to the brink, but you're wrong as Vegas didn't make it to the finals. So they lost to a team who lost to a team who lost to the cup winners. Compared to a team who took the actual cup winners to the brink.
We'll see come this spring if this team is actually better suited or not β and the only way they best the other team is by winning the cup. - NewYorkNuck
Funny that you give so much more benefit to a team that failed several times in the playoffs, managed to squeak out a victory against a team that beat them time and time again and then failed when it mattered most. Was the 2011 team the best Canucks team in history? Sure, they led in almost all statistical categories, had the best PP and PK in the league and led the league in GF and GA and this team isn't going to touch that and likely won't break the team record for points. But that doesn't invalidate the fact that a much inferior Bruins team that barely managed to beat Tampa Bay completely crushed them in the Finals despite some admittedly incredible heroics by Luongo at home (while stinking up the joint in Boston and in Game 7). Not to mention the year later they won the PT again and got nearly swept in the first round so... |

I wouldn't mind seeing Woo get into the game against Chicago, also Mikheyev and a 2nd for Dickinson. |

Looks like a setback for Carson Soucy, who had been skating with club, and is now on IR. Jett Woo has been recalled from the AHL affiliate in Abbotsford.
Soucy suffered a hand injury Jan. 20 against the Leafs on a second-period attempt to stop a Mitch Marner shot.

Who could have seen that coming? Of all the bad luck!

I honestly can't believe that actual nhl coaches play Myers the 3rd most of all the defensemen this team has. They need to fire the coaches to appease the fans/experts. - Reubenkincade

The Canucks seem to have issues addressing hand injuries, would like to hear what Hughes has to say. |

You will be thrilled to see when they put Mikheyev on LTIR with his hand problems.

I give the benefit to the team that actually made the playoffs consistently and made the finals, yes. This core hasn't done poop yet, so no, they don't get the benefit until they can put in some results. 1 playoff appearance (in which they won a whopping one round) in 4 years outside of this one does not scream to be better suited to anything. What they've put together this year is encouraging, but this is one year. They could turn into the Leafs come spring for all we know.
And Boston was not much inferior. They were 7th in the league and Thomas won the Vezina that year. They weren't some scrub team. |

It's because he can't get the puck out of the zone, so his average shift length is like 3 minutes |

The way it will shake down is LTIR for Soucy on the 17 th
On the 20 th trade for a top 6 guy.
A week later with the top 6 guy added Mikheyev will have issues with his hand from the surgery. Season ending. Then they bring back Soucy.
